The Companion's built-in 30-amp receptacle makes it easy to connect to a standard EU2000i model with simple parallel cables for power to run rooftop RV air conditioners and more. Exclusive Honda® inverter technology produces steady power to run electronics and appliances and to charge automotive-type batteries. Features fuel-efficient 4-stroke air-cooled overhead valve engine, recoil auto start and spark arrester/muffler.

Tech Notes: Like other Honda EU2000i models, the EU2000i Companion utilizes Honda's "state of the art" inverter technology to provide 2000 watts of lightweight, quiet and efficient power. This generator will run up to 15 hours on a single tank of gas when used with the Eco-Throttle feature. This easy starting generator produces only 59dB of sound with a full load. Honda Inverter Technology makes this generator ideally suited for use with sensitive electronics (e.g., computer, fax, printer, telephone and stereo) because the generator produces a clean sine wave of energy that prevents surging. To prevent any possible damage to the unit, the Oil Alert will shut the unit off when the oil level drops below a safe operating level. The available power is commonly used for the following typical electric devices:

Full Size Microwave Ovens

Larger Power Tools i.e. circular saw

Resistive Load Kitchen Appliances (i.e. Coffee Maker, Toaster, small a/c units etc).

Two like EU series generators can be linked in parallel to increase available wattage through the generator outlets.

This is my first generator I've ever bought and have no regrets. It provided the necessary power while dry camping , with little noise, and easy to start. The saleslady at Camping World in Anthony, TX was very helpful and answered all my questions.

We started out with a regular EU2000i and found on our travel trailer, that although it would start the 13500 btu AC unit, when it went to cycle, it would draw too much and fault the gen. out. We purchased the Companion to go with the original, and can run in parrallel with both gen. in Eco mode, for about 10 hr. of run time on a tank of gas. Runs everything in our trailer with no problems. 4 out of 5 stars due to unit costs, but sometimes you get what you pay for.
