Monitor the air pressure in every tire on your vehicle and on what you are towing, right from the driver's seat.
This advanced, two-level warning system alerts you to low tire pressure that impacts fuel economy and causes increased tire tread wear, and to dangerously low tire pressures requiring immediate attention. Works on all tire sizes up to 150 psi.

Features

  • Fully customizable-just add sensors and set for any driving/towing configuration; monitors up to 24 tires simultaneously, including spares
  • Multi-vehicle memory-four customizable memory settings; transfers easily between vehicles and trailers
  • Wireless technology- works even when vehicle is not moving; billions of miles of road-proven dependability.

Base System includes:

  • Portable TPMS monitor
  • 12-volt monitor power cord
  • Non-skid dash pad for monitor
  • 6 tire pressure sensors
  • Owner's manual
  • Permanently sealed sensors are impervious to water, grime, grease and mud -- just replace sensors every 4 years -- no batteries to change!

Could not get it to work reliably

Took about an hour for it to register all the sensors doing them one at a time in the install. Drove 15 minutes and the sensors would appear and disappear from the unit, even the sensors right near the unit. The range was too poor to be useful. Reinstalled three times before returning the system. Now planning on trying another unit such as as tpms.ca from hawkshead. Gets good reviews and has changeable batteries in the sensors.

The idea is great but the machine isn't. I been programming and reprogramming for 4 weeks, always one, two or even sometimes three sensors are not sending signal. This system is not perfected enough to be sold, that is my advice. Waiting for a refund and instruction to return the kit.

I installed this on a 24' trailer with a short tow vehicle (Grand Cherokee) and it still kept dropping the signal. Very inconsistent results. When it drops the signal on one tire it won't read the other tires. I drove from Long Island to Mystic, CT and it worked for about 4 blocks. Buy a $5 tire guage and save the aggravation.

    TPMS DOESN'T WORK AS ADVERTISED

Installed on a Ford F350 dually and 37' 5th wheel and have never been able to get this system to work reliably. Sitting still all 10 sensors update a fairly accurate signal but when in motion the unit will lose communication with some of the sensors. I have installed the antenna extension and the signal repeater but neither seem to make this a reliable and accurate system especially for the money I had to spend to get it. I have had it to long to get my money back now so I am stuck but I would not recommend this system to my worst enemy. DO NOT BUY!

    TPMS not adequate

I purchased the Hopkins TPMS for my 44 ft coach to monitor tire pressures in a reliable manner. Unfortunately, it has failed to meet these expectations for me. After calls to technical service, I received two antenna extensions that did little to improve the accuracy and continuity of the pressure monitoring. I have returned the product since it has failed of its essential purpose for me. The retail sales manager, Abbey, at the Katy Texas store could not do enough to assist me in this matter and is to be commended.

    Two of Six Senders Defective

While the unit was easy to install, out of the box, two of the six senders were transmitting inaccurate tire pressures and warnings. I moved the senders to different wheels and the problems followed the senders. Rather than send two senders back to the manufacturer, I decided to get a refund and search for another brand TPMS. Camping World responded very quickly and even paid my return shipping. The credit was applied quickly. Very pleased with Camping World service!

I was looking for security and peace of mind regarding tire pressures on my 38 foot diesel pusher - I got neither. The unit couldn't maintain a signal even with their antenna extender. Furthermore, one of the sending units physically failed and allowed pressure to escape (slowly thankfully, but without any notice to the receiver). When I talked to the manufacturer, they said I could return it within 30 days of purchase. What good is a 30 day warranty on anything on an RV? It's not like you use it every day to go to work or to the market. I was so disappointed with the unit, I wouldn't even sell it (or give it away) to someone else. I don't think it is safe enough.

This is a follow up on my earlier review. Although the tech support was great, the product just wouldn't work for me. My 27' Itasca would not consistently read any tire except the right front, even after adding the antenna extender and moving the antenna to MANY different positions. Just sitting in my driveway, it would read all 6 tires, then after a while one or another would drop out and alarm. Move the antenna around and it would come back, then a different one would drop out. Absolutely flaky. And not to forget that the sensors have to be thrown away when the batteries die (wow). On balance, the unit is big, clunky, expensive and unreliable. It will be returned.

I read all these reviews and was pretty impressed. How come nobody mentioned the no-battery-replacement philosophy? Well, the first thing I noticed is no sensor battery replacement. Dead battery, buy new sensor. A few years (maybe 4?) from now, I get to spend about $250 to replace the sensors. Not likely - - either they come down in price or I buy a different product. User interface is okay, and the icons are mostly understandable except for the one that looks like a bullseye target. If it worked as advertised, I'd give it three stars. But that's only if the sensors ever work, which 5 out of 6 don't right now. I'm installing on a rainy day in a 27' Itasca. Only the right front wheel is reliable. Got one reading on left front and one reading on left rear, both of which disappeared immediately. Supposedly there's a repeater, but I believe they're about $100, and just one more thing to keep a steady power drain on the battery. The unit has its power cord poking ridiculously out of the front of the base. It's impossible to get a "clean" looking installation, it always looks as if it was just tacked into place. Why in the world didn't they put it in the rear with the antenna??? The base has no provision for attachment at all, so Velcro here we come. If I keep it. I'll call tech support tomorrow, but I'm not optimistic. This is a very poor start. Unless this thing works solid with no fuss (and no repeater), I'll return it and buy some other brand. So far, it's pretty disappointing.

    Needs a repeater...

Have to agree with the December 14th reviewer below. On our 38' Monaco Knight, only the front two tires were reliably programmed. The two right rear tires were acknowledged and programmed, but the signal was lost numerous times on our first (460 mile) trip. Could never get the two left rear tire sensors to be detected, even moving the receiver around the cockpit. Called Hopkins Tech Support and was told that with a 38' motorhome, a repeater is going to be necessary. Will exchange the Hopkins system for a TST system at Camping World ASAP. Based on reviews at motorhomemagazine.com, the TST system may provide better range without having to buy a repeater.

    Not for big rigs

I have a 36' class A diesel. The receiver had a problem maintaining the link with the sensors on the rear wheels. I ordered the free antenna extension from Hopkins, but this made no difference. Hopkins sells a signal booster for this unit, but I ended up selling the unit as I became too frustrated and I did not want to spend more money on trying to make it work.

I installed without reading instruction. Once installed worked great. I set up 3 different configuration and they all work great. I have a 31' class C and tow trailer or car. All sensor work without an issue. I did have one of the sensors go bad. I used one of the ones for the car and reprogrammed that one sensor and was on the road in ten minutes.

    Breaking Valve Stems

WARNING Owners of Jeep Grand Cherokees with Aluminum Valve Stems! When removing the Sensors from the valve stem to add air, the valve stems will break! I have broken two, the valve core then comes out letting the air out of the tire and you have a flat. The replacement valve stems can only be purchased at Jeep and cost $55.00 each. A tire or car dealer has to install from inside the tire. I recommend not using the sensors with aluminum valve stems.
