My original converter failed on a recent camping trip and had zero volts DC output. It was a 55 amp model, so I replaced it with this 60 amp model. I works really well. I can turn on every 12V item in the RV at one time without any apparent impact. I really like
the multiple charging levels so I can leave my RV plugged into shore power.
Installation was a little tricky though. It barely fit in the converter box. The original converter's mounting flange was configured differently than this one. So I had to drill a couple of holes in the original box and put some sheet metal screws in place to hold it down. This unit comes with an AC plug, where my original unit was hard wired. It was simple enough to cut off the plug, strip and separate the wires and mount them to the power buss. I also installed the power monitor that comes with it (no extra charge). I simply ran it outside the box, and used the two sided tape that is on the back of it to stick it to my cabinet. The DC connections were very simple.
I'd recommend this unit to anyone who needs a replacement, even though its a little pricey.

This is the fourth converter we've had in our 2004 Airstream. The OEM converter
crapped out about 3 years ago. Replaced it with a Parallax 4455TC, which failed under warranty - it was tripping the 110V circuit breaker with a GFI. The replacement 4455TC failed with identical symptoms on trip to W. Texas last week. Enough with the Parallaxes.
Purchased the PD9260CV from Camping World. Price was exorbitantly high, but I
wanted to get it and do the install this weekend. Install was extremely easy. AAMOF, the same leads used with the Parallax worked using this box, which is almost identical in size.
The 9260 quick-flashed for about 30 hours before going into maintenance mode, which was to be expected.
I did have a few questions for PD Support, and they answered those via email within 24 hours of the time I submitted them.
So far, so good.
