Great unit for my Toy Hauler

This is the second Jensen unit I have had and have encountered no problems with the unit. It is wired directly to my batteries so I never loose memeory. I also matched it up with a Jensen 1100 watt amp to power my outside speakers and sub-woofer...sounds great. I have two TV's in my toy hauler and both are conected to the unit. DVD player works great and the TV sound comes through my speakers which is very nice when we watch some sporting event outside of the trailer. Would have given it 5 starts but I have a newer i-pod which can not be controled by the Jensen remote. In addation I have a remote sensor outside of the trailer which allows me to control the unit from outside of the trailer and I also have a sensor in the bedroom which allows me to control the unit from our bed. Very nice feature of the unit...you can purchase a remote sensor which plugs into the back of the unit and place the sensor anywhere you want (inside/outside) to control the unit from anywhere. I have had a few questions from time to time and customer service directly from Jensen has been great...they even sent me an extra remote control at no charge for my bedroom. Maybe I should give it 5 stars.

Looses setting when A/C is disconnected, hard to set or scan channels, CD/DVD will not load or eject a disc, problem is with the feed roller drive. And of course you have to replace the whole unit. Looking for something else that will fit the hole.

Two users have written that they lose the memory when A/C power is disconnected. This perplexes me since this is not an A/C unit and runs off of the 12v batteries of an RV. It hardly seems like fair criticism.

DVD Player Jams

Stereo has nice sound. Would like it to have a battery so you wouldn't have to re-set every time you disconnect from AC power. After one year, the DVD/CD player would not accept cd's and then when it would they would be stuck. Had to take the entire unit apart to get the CD. Couldn't find anything wrong with it and was told by the manufacturer to try the reset button. Did that and still nothing. Now being told it must be internal and we will need to purchase a new one. Not happy about that. Will be looking at another brand.
