Everyone who owns a 5th Wheel or Travel Trailer knows that some side-to-side or front-to-back movement is expected; annoying, frustrating, unwanted…but expected.
JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer eliminates the inherent chassis movement problem found in travel trailers and fifth wheels and eliminates the need for ineffective tripods or pin stabilizers. The Strong Arm uses the power of triangulation. One end of the Strong Arm easily attaches to a leveling jack and the other end to the RV frame. When parked, the Strong Arm telescopes into place as the jacks are lowered and the RV is leveled. An easy twist of the Strong Arm's handle locks it in place, virtually eliminating ALL side-to-side and front-to-back movement. The Strong Arm stabilizes the RV's chassis just like the stabilization used in a race car.

Easy Installation on All Types of Jacks:

The universality and versatility of JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer is remarkable. Using a unique system of brackets, the Strong Arm attaches to any of the three main types of jacks found on RVs: scissor, electric and telescoping. By using the proper clevis and swing bolt, JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer attaches to and stabilizes any of these jack systems.

Things you'll love about JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer:

  • Bolt-on DIY Installation.
  • One-time permanent installation.
  • Nothing to tear down or stow away.
  • Each kit includes six stabilizer tubes—four for the front, two for the rear—and installation hardware.
  • Easy to set-up: telescopes into place when jacks are lowered, simply tighten the "T-Handles"!

Why havent we been telling each other about these stabilizers for years? Without a doubt one of the BEST add ons I have purchased in 18 yrs. of owning an RV. The front was very easy to put on, but the rear was a little tricky due to MY RV having the rear scissors at an angle instead of horizontal, but I tried a couple of different mounting points and got the best one figured out. I would recommend purchasing new drill bits to install the mounts. I would say this product removed 99% of the side to side movement.
Pros: Stops camper shifting when walking inside

Installed myself. Not particularly difficult to install and works quite well. Movement inside the 5er isn't completely gone, but it is a huge improvement. We had a hitch receiver installed on the rear of our 5th wheel trailer a couple of years ago which gets in the way of installing the rear stabilizers so I just mounted them on the hitch receiver framework and it works fine.
Pros: Easy set up

I installed this kit today. The front stabilizers install per the instructions and work very well. However, the rear stabilizers can't be installed on my camper (2013 Jayco Pinnacle 36REQS) because it has a Levelegs leveling system and there is no frame member between the rear legs. The kit and instructions are designed for a 5'er with scissor or telescoping manual stabilizing jacks in the rear. CW doesn't tell you that. I called Happijac (whose name and number are all over the instructions) and parts and was told they haven't supported JT Strong Arm in 2 years! Gave me the number for Lippert Aftermarket. Lippert was zero help. Their answer was to take it to a service center. Right - I'll go pay them to tell me what I already know. You'd think that after 2 years they would change the instructions with the correct contact info. So beware - if you want to put this on your 5'er check the rear first. I am going to weld a piece of angle between the side rails and drill my Leveleg tube. it will cost me 1 of clearance when they are retracted but I can live with that.
Pros: Easy set up, Stops camper shifting when walking inside
Cons: Will Not Fit Rear Of Camper

JT Strongarm Stabilizers for 5th wheel

My 5th wheel already had brackets mounted for these stabilizers so I decided to give them a try. After receiving the box of parts and trying to drill a 1/2 hole in the landing gear, with no success with my 1/2 bit, I decided to buy a 1/2 unibit. WOW! That made my life a whole lot simpler. It only took about 10 seconds to drill out the 1/2 hole for the bolts. The first stabilizer took a little longer, but that was my trial and error side about 30 minutes. The other side only took about 10 minutes to mount and what a difference these stabilizers make, no shifting when walking in the 5th wheel. The wife is happy and so am I. I recommend these to anyone who wants a stable camper.

Product is well made with all the parts you need to install. Install time was five hours. A good cement floor with creeper is just about a must. My next install should take one to two hours less time. Would highly recommend using Camping World's cheap installation price to save wear and tear on the body! Product does work!

Installation on my 39' fifth wheel was done over two weekends. When completed, it halted the movement and made the rig stable. No more king pin stabilizer! Makes setting up faster with nothing to store or haul around. Full points on this product.

This is well worth the money. After trying everything to stop the movement in my 36 ft. Cougar 5th wheel I tried the Strong Arm Stabilizer. It did take a little longer to install the front bars. Since I have a slide out tray on the rear of my unit I had to add a 1/4x2x2 angle iron in front of the rear jacks to install the rear bars. After the install was complete I put the slides out and walked through the unit and there was no movement at all. I no longer have to use the king pin stabilizer as there is no movement in the front of the unit. I would recommend this to anybody that is trying to stop the side to side movement in their units.

Well worth the money! Took 95% of the movement out of the toy hauler while inside. Now only slight movement when multiple people are in the slide area or moving the toys around in the garage.
