Upgrade your old antenna for better digital TV reception.
Broader reception range helps you receive signals found in the “dead spot” not reachable by the existing mount. Power it by your existing antenna power supply or use the included power injector that just plugs into an AC outlet. Includes custom bracket for simple retrofit to your current crank-up antenna mast using the existing mounting pins. A universal mounting bracket is also included for installation on a pole or railing for residential use.
Wider reception range:
Makes it easier to find a signal and scan for available channels. Less directional than traditional RV antennas.
Designed for digital
Better reception of UHF signals where over 80% of new DTV channels are broadcast. Also
provides great reception of remaining VHF
Enhance weak signals for improved reception
capability. Includes AC to DC power supply. Also works with existing wall mount or video switch antenna power supply for simple retrofit.
Up to 70% smaller than traditional RV
antennas and offers less wind resistance.
Simple to install
Install in just minutes without any special
tools. RV bracket allows antenna to be
mounted in either direction to clear A/C,
vent or other potential roof obstructions.
I used the sure lock signal finder on the winegard w/wingman to find the best signal with that setup. I then attached the Jack ant...enna and ran the signal meter. I was concerned that I could not get 4 lights like the wingman. But when I ran the TV scan it pulled up channels I never could get before. I seems like it is not as direction
dependant as the wingman.
I can now pull in a station 60 miles away and watch my sorry team's blackout games. Jack is a very afforadable upgrade and easy to install.
Install was very easy. Attached the included brackets to the Jack antenna, disconnected the cable from the old
Winegard batwing a...ntenna, and removed a couple of pins holding it on the elevating arms. Reinstalled the pins with
the Jack antenna in place and reconnected the cable. Turned
on my new LED HDTV and did a channel search. It found about 19 different channels in my local area, some I didn't even know existed. Picture quality was excellent. Completely satisfied.
I'm at least 50 miles from any TV broadcast stations. I tuned in my TV with the batwing
on my 2006 motorhome and found 3 monolog... and 2 digital channels. After replacing
the batwing with the Jack antenna I again set the TV to channel search. This time it
pulled in 12 digital channels. Some stations were 100 miles away. I would definitely
recommend this product.
Received 10 channels before install and 15 after. Great reception on most channels even with the antenna down. Easy install replac...ing the old Sensar. Really like the smaller size compared to old Sensar. Great product.
After doing the 15 minute install we left for the campground and to my surprise I pulled
in channels that were only marginal wit...h the Bat Wing. I also pulled in 8 extra channels
that I didn't get before. This campground is in a valley with tall trees every where, I'm
very happy with the results.
I had an amplified Winegard antenna and reception was ok but not great. Was thinking of adding the Wingman but after reading sever...al reviews and seeing sale price on the Jack replacement head,
went with Jack. Install was very easy (10 minutes tops) and so far so good. At home I was getting 22 channels but with the Jack installed I now get 27 channels. I look forward to our next camping trip where reception is usually a challenge. My local
Camping World honored the Internet price which was even better than Amazon.
The wife and I are campers, but new to RV camping. Bought a new flat screen TV and
could only get 1 channel on the Winegard ante...nna. We have an older model (1999) trailer. I bought the Jack Digital antenna not knowing what to expect. Install took me less than five minuets. Turned on the TV and ran scan and came up with 31 channels and with the booster on they are clear as a bell. Our TV has a built in strength signal meter (not sure if that’s standard with all new digital TV’s) and with just a quick adjustment (right angle to the dangle) we were all set. Great product for the price and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Installed in about 15 minutes with included bracket. Now picking up 11 more channels that
what I was before. Before installing t...his, I had to adjust old antenna to get certain channels
and now am getting them without any adjustment.
It took less then 5 min to install on my travel trailer and with the old antenna I got 2 channels. I installed the Jack Digital HD...TV antenna now I get 13 channels. The 11 new
channels I get is in Orlando, and I live about 50 miles away. Overall it works great I would recommend buying one.
This is a great product and it doubled the number of channels I can receive! It worked so well,
I bought another and replaced th...e old outdoor antenna on my house. I like the compact size
on the camper and it appears less fragile and subject to damage at highway speeds.
Installation was very easy and the instructions were clear.
We had the batwing Winegard antenna on our RV that got damaged by low-hanging branches, After doing some research,
we replaced th...e Winegard with this antenna. It was so easy to install as the Winegard crank up tower was not damaged.
We instantly noticed a much stronger digital signal from our local Phoenix stations. It even picks up most of Tucson's stations which are 90 miles away. Using it on our latest trips have been a real joy as this antenna locks the digital signals in with considerably less effort that our old
Winegard. We love this antenna. We are going to buy one for our home office TV which we use when our satellite
signal is blocked during storms.
this took less than 10 mins to change out and works really well. I am in a remote
location and able to pick up 19 channels. whic...h is great for where I am. Happy to get
ABC, NBC, CBS FOX and others. Worth the try.
Installation was quick with no issues. Have not tried it on the road, but in my driveway,
I got 8 TV stations with the old batwin...g. With the new Jack Antenna, I got 20 TV stations.
In the past with my old antenna, reception was very bad. So looking forward to the new
Jack antenna based on what we have thus far.
We installed this in place of the original head and it works well. We picked up several
stations I did not know we could get in ...our area. It does what it says it will do. Very easy
to install took less than 5 minutes.
It was better than the previuos reviews. Litterally about a 5 minute install and getting more than the 4 channels I was getting wi...th the old camper antenna. Went from 4 channels to 13 channels using the current booster in the camper, not the one that came with the Jack HD. Would highly suggest this upgrade to anyone wanting more, clear channels while camping.
I keep my trailer near Pymatuning Lake in Ohio. After
adding the Jack, I now get the locals out of Cleveland, ABC,
NBC CBS and F...ox. I also get the Youngstown stations for
about 10 stations in all. This in an upgrade of 5-7
stations depending on the weather. A great investment for
casual TV watching. Great upgrade over the Wingman! Simply
to install, yes a lady or a kid can do it!
Far superior to my old Wingman. Installation took about 15 minutes and fit perfectly. Used existing mount and power injector. The ...unit isn't as position sensitive as the Wingman was. Receiving far more channels than before.
I purchased this to replace the head on my existing
AntennaTek antenna. This antenna is similar to a Winegard,
but it is not exa...ctly the same, and Jack does not list the
AntennaTek as being compatible with the Jack head.
After I installed the adapter bracket I noticed that the top
of it was not sitting level. This was probably due to the
slight geometry differences between a Winegard and an
AntennaTek. I carefully bent the top of the bracket a
little bit until it was level. Then I bolted on the Jack
antenna head. I used the existing AntennaTek amplifier
already installed in the RV; so no wiring changes were required.
The antenna works great. Just sitting in my back yard I can
tune more TV stations than I could before.
This was my attempt to get reception without spending a ton of money. It gave us three
stations in a remote area where there was... no reception before. So, I expect it will work
great when we are not so far away from an urban area. Installation was just as
described - quick and easy. Who can complain about free TV in a day when spending a
hundred bucks a month is not unusual.
Strong signal and not as directional as the original
antenna. Simple installation, was able to use original power
supply. Much o...f the time, I don't even have to bother
raising the antenna to get a good signal.
Just installed, replacing existing wing antenna.
Installation was a breeze, 5 minutes done. I immediately saw
a reception improv...ement and more available channels. I'd
have to say, one of the best purchases I've made in quite a
Easy to install. Need to try it more to see if it is really better than the batwing. We did get
good reception most places. In o...ther places reception would drift in and out where I
thought it would be easy to lock in.
For the life of me I can't figure out why we waited so long to buy this antenna! We haven't
used it on a camping trip yet but af...ter installing today in our yard we went from 10
stations to 22 with no break up! Installation was a snap couldn't ask for anything easier.
This antenna works great. It was very easy to hook up to the
mast on my RV roof. I hooked it up at home before we left
on our tr...ip and I got 28 channels with it. On our trip where
we got 8 very clear channels when we usually only got two or
three channels that were very bad reception and always
cutting out with our antenna. I am very happy
with this antenna and very glad I bought it. I am thinking
of buying another one for my house a getting rid of our very
expensive TV package we have.
Replaced batwing only because this one was on sale and looked cool. It does install
easily on the crank up mast, basic hand tool...s needed, and in 10-15 minutes. Good signal
but not sure if better than batwing as I found out after replacing the batwing that I had been
aiming it incorrectly for 8 years.
Took 10 min to install due to rusty parts on old bat wing. I get 24 stations at 58 miles
away, got 8 before I installed the jack.... It works good even on the road with antenna down,
but does have some black outs. On clear nights this antenna picks up as far away as 80
miles or better..I have a 83 pace arrow. Makes it feel newer!!
surprised to receive 9 more station with the jack (29 vs 19) compared to my previous antenna. All the stations were over 6...0
miles away with hills in between. Easy to install and as a plus, the Jack faces the same
direction as the arrow on the crank handle where my last antenna was 90 degrees off.
I removed my raising mast and made my own 8 high stationary
mast so I don't need to worry about lowering it. Even at
that height... it works better than the my original wingman
with the extra UHF antenna and raised up in the air. This
Jack antenna does cover a very wide footprint. It is well
worth the price because it works better and I no longer look
like a fool driving along with my antenna up in the air.
We went from getting 4-6 channels to 20-30 at most campgrounds. At home when I
would set up the TV I would get around 30, that w...ent to 78. The picture quality is great
and very easy to install on trailer roof .
Doubled the channels we received, all came through crystal clear. Easy 5 minute
installation. A great improvement over the HDTV ...antenna that came with our
motorhome. Should be a must for all those wanting free TV.
We were having trouble getting stations when traveling. Many times no stations at all or
stations would fade in and out. We boug...ht the Jack Digital HDTV Antenna
Replacement Head and what a difference, many more stations and very clear. It took
me less than 10 minutes to remove old antenna and add the new replacement head.
While on lake erie near Dunkirk, NY I received tv stations from Toronto, Canada and
Dose the job and is a good pick to replace the factory
antenna. It does need to be pointed at the transmitter tower
for best rec...eption but this is the same for any directional
antenna. Happy with this product so far.
Replaced our original large antenna head. This replacement antenna searched and
located over 40 local and digital channels in th...e city and over half that at the rural lake
area. This antenna is simple to install in just minutes and perfect picture quality. Great
buy and worth every penny.
Was somewhat undecided about doing the change, but after reading many reviews I decided to
try it. With my old antenna we receiv...ed 18 channels. I installed the Jack
replacement and rescanned (while at the same camping area), and we got 32 channels and a
much better lock on the channels. Easy installation and very happy with this unit so far. We live
full time in our unit and do a lot of dry camping so TV is a great feature. Hopefully this
antenna will continue to preform well.
Kind of unreal. We are in Palmer, Alaska and the park has no cable. We lost our Direct
down in Canada on the way up. So all OTA ...here are out of Anchorage and we never did
anything about the antenna. Decided this AM to try Jack. Absolutely, no comparison to what I was previously using. Channels
were added. I'm happy!
A lot of things I have purchased online before turned out to be not so good. This Jack
Digital TV antenna head made up for the b...ad ones as it is GREAT. As a lot of places we
go camping do not have cable it is now nice to be able to get a good over the air signal
from many more stations that were not available with other antennas
I had the old bat wing for digital reception with the extension, it worked good, but this blows it away. I camp in two campgrounds ...every year and with this antenna I get almost twice the channels and a lot more HD. It also uses the old power supply, too.
Installation was relatively easy. Just remove and replace two pins, disconnect the cable from
the bat wing, and reconnect it to ...this replacement head. Good signal. Seems to work as well while laying on the roof as it does raised up, which is nice!
I had the original batwing with the digital add on. Carefully followed instructions. Not very difficult. Nicer looking. Disappoint...ed that there
was no change in reception. Even close by signals were breaking up (pixelating). May
be due to nearby foliage?
Certainly easy to install, that's the only star. Otherwise, I'd give it a zero star. Before switching from the original amplified ...bat wing, we received 10 channels. After installing the king digital, we only received 4 channels.... fail! Didn't even move the coach or the mast and we lost 6 channels. Let the TV scan for channels several times after repositioning the mast around in every direction and actually lost another channel. Put the bat wing back on the mast, scanned for channels and all the channels returned. This king digital is going back for a refund.
Granted we camp in a woodsy area, but we actually lost channels after installation. I bought this product thinking that it would s...top the weakness of signal we were receiving from our original antenna. I didn't expect miracles, but it didn't do anything.
I concur with those who say the installation was easy. Since it uses the existing antenna frame and hardware it couldn't have bee...n much easier. I had a modest increase in the number of channels received using this product and the picture quality seemed to improve. But it was not a "night and day" difference - just a little better than before. You do have to have the booster turned on, and you have to position the antenna as directed to get the best results. I suspect if you ignore either the results could be worse than the original antenna delivered. I do like the smaller "footprint" on the roof when the antenna is returned to its travel position - makes it easier to work around when washing the roof.
Pros: Easy to install, Small size, Improved reception
Before I started, I put up my original Winegard antennae, turned on my TV and scanned for available stations. Since we live in the... desert I was only able to pick up 4 digital stations (but the 4 I did get were very clear). After installing the replacement antennae head (which was very easy) I got zero stations. I tried moving the antennae in every direction with no result.
Replaced original antenna with this one and got 6 extra channels but more importantly I
got a good picture and sound. With old a...ntenna my picture was constantly breaking down
and sound would go. So far I have not had that problem with the new antenna. Super easy
Stop wasting your time with the analog antenna that came with your rig. This antenna
replacement really works. And simple to ins...tall. Remember that you have to go to the menu
feature on your tv remote and tell the TV to start searching for a digital station. After it locks
onto the newly found digital signal, you're set.
I have one of these antennas on my camper, cabin, and now my home. Cabin and camper are 80 miles from towers and my home one is 40... miles from towers and I have it in the attic. All 3 have better reception than any other antenna I have ever tried. Way better than the 6 foot long antenna that had been in my attic. Received 29 channels before. I now get 49 channels. Great product at a low price.
Pros: Brings in 20+ channels, Easy to install, Brought in network stations
Very easy to replace existing batwing unit. Needle nose pliers are a plus to remove the c
clips that hold the mounting pins in p...lace. The new unit comes with replacement c clips.
Many more stations received with this antenna.
Easy to install. East 14 channels, West 19 channels, South 17 channels, and North 15 channels. There is no fading in and out and w...e really like it. Well worth the money spent. Thanks, Camping World!
Most of the time we camp in rural areas and never have been able to pick up any channels. After installing King Digital HDTV Anten...na replacement head, now we pick up 2-3 channels. Well worth it and easy to install.
My original antenna mounts on the side of the arms, affording an offset to clear the roof top AC unit. The King antenna mounts ce...ntered on the top of
the arms, so it wouldn't clear my A/C unit in the normal down position. If their mounting
bracket was able to be mounted to the antenna at 90 degrees from what is available, it would clear just fine. The signal strength is better, and I just have to remember to lower
it at a different spot on my roof. Check for clearance if you have a smaller travel trailer,
as my Rockwood Roo 21SS wouldn't allow the King to be stowed in the normal travel
position. The King signal strength meter is a helpful tool and saves time in channel
Very disappointed - as we were looking forward to having more channels. Well, now we have none as there is no red light, so we wil...l have to have someone get back up on the roof and replace it with the old Winegard. If someone could tell us what is wrong, we would surely appreciate it!
I tried a different antenna with no luck as all I could get was channel 20. I was within 15
miles of three other stations and co...uldn't get them. I ordered the King Digital HDTV
antenna replacement head and immediately picked up those 3 channels and several
others and I was 60 miles from the three and some were 90 to 110 miles away. I took
the other antenna back to the RV dealer where I purchased it.
Installed this replacement head on my '99 Itasca Sunrise when I replaced the old CRT TV
with a high def LED. So glad to get rid ...of the converter box! The new head WAS very
easy to replace, and DID improve the reception and number of channels. The little red
light on the head that indicates that the antenna booster is working is almost impossible
to see unless it's dark out. Glad I made the switch!
Was easy to install. Tried it at home and found that the one channel I couldn't get with the
old antenna came up just as good as... the others. The picture quality was better than
before. It worked almost as well with the antenna down. I recommend this antenna.
I bought this antenna because of the reviews, however it did not work out very well.
Install is super quick if you have any comm...on sense. I grew up messing with electronics
and even took an electronics vo-tech course, so I do know my way around when comes
to installing and servicing them. I got 15 channels with my stock antenna and rv booster,
with this antenna and stock rv booster I got 4! With this antenna and the provided
booster, bypassing the rv booster I still could only pull in 4 stations, yes the led on the
bottom of the antenna was lit, and yes it was pointing the same direction as the stock
antenna, flat face that direction. Very disappointed with this item. Hopefully I can return
for my money back. Buy the Winegard Wingman instead, TRUST ME!!!
My review earlier was before customer service found my review. They are
Johnny-on-the-spot! They sent me another antenna right ...away, thinking I may have just
gotten a bad one, but the reception was still not any better. Five stars for their customer
service! The antenna is a much smaller footprint than the original antenna, just
wish it would have worked better in my area, you may have better luck in yours as it
seems most are getting better reception!
It took me longer to setup the ladder & read the instructions than it took to replace the old batwing. My increase was by 8 ch...annels. Installs in minutes. Just make sure you install the unit pointed correctly. Most would think otherwise by just looking at it.
Bought it to replace old Sensor 3. Got more channels than before except PBS. It still broadcast in the VHF spectrum. My guess is t...hat the King works better than the Sensor 3 in the UHF spectrum, but has poorer reception in VHF. Exchanged King for a Sensor IV. Works great, gets all the stations that the King got PLUS PBS
We went from 1 garbled channel to 5 clear ones (15 if you count the sub-channels). This was from my driveway surrounded by high hi...lls. I am looking forward to seeing what I can receive out in a flat area. This replaced an old batwing that just didn't pickup well at all. I used the existing amp from the batwing with no problems. The hardest thing about the install was climbing the ladder to get to the top of the RV.
Pros: Easy to install, Small size, Improved reception
It depends on the antenna make that is currently installed on your RV. Antennas like this are universal to RV make/model and we are unable to ID what accessories were installed at the RV factory. However, this replacement antenna head is designed to specifically replace the head on a Winegard Sensar or AntennaTek 400/500/550 crank up batwing antenna.

Will this work with a Wingard signal amplifier and a Antenna Tec batwing antenna mount?
by Beagle – February 06, 2016
February 06, 2016
I presently have a a Wingard amplifier that has a signal meter which measures the power of the incoming signal and adjustable incoming signal amplification. Will the King digital antenna work with my existing Wingard amp and fit on my existing Antenna Tec batwing mount.
There is not an individual roof bracket for the King Jack antenna. The antenna head is either installed as a retrofit on a lift arm for a batwing antenna that can rotate like the Winegard Sensar. Or the new install kit, SKU#56484, is used that has a base fabricated by King along with signal meter, rotation ability, and wall plate to supply power.
by Camping World – February 17, 2016
Is it possible to hook this unit on to my Concord Electric series 90 rv tv antenna (Braund) ?
This is just an antenna head that can replace the antenna head on a batwing antenna like Winegards Sensar TV antenna. Or the antenna head can be mounted on a stationary pole. Antenna Head Install Instructions
The King Jack is also manufactured with a mounting base if a new install or full replacement is needed for an RV roof antenna. The matched base is a fixed height but can rotate for better signal capture. We have this variation listed as item# 56484.

The red light is not on after we installed it.
by rochelle – August 05, 2015

we only replaced the antenna head where the winegard use to be and there is no LED light on.
It sounds as though the antenna is not receiving power. You can contact King's Customer Service or visit a location that is an authorized dealer for further assistance.

Will the King Digital HDTV Replacement Head work on a RV with an analog converted TV thru use of a box, when TV is not capable of HD?
Yes. This installs in just minutes without any special tools. RV bracket allows antenna to be mounted in either direction to clear A/C, vent or other potential roof obstructions.
by Camping World – October 01, 2015
The red light on the antena does not light up and I'm only getting a couple of chanels. What. Do I do now?
If the Red LED on the antenna is not lit, then the antenna is not receiving power. If the unit is connected to a wall plate, make sure there is power. If a powered wall plate is not being used, then use the power injector that was included with the antenna head. Refer to setup configurations on page 3 and troubleshooting on page 4 of the Instruction Manual. If configuration is correct, there is a possibility of a bad coax cable if power is being provided.

Can I get this in a black color? Also what carrier is this shipped through.
While we have the full King Jack HD antenna system available in Black(#56485). A special order with our Technical Service Group @ 800.622.6264 will have to be placed to obtain the replacement head in Black as opposed to White.
by Camping World – October 01, 2015
No it does not. This antenna head is just better designed for receiving current over the air signal. Digital to Analog converter boxes as you described are still needed for older TVs that do not have a built in HD tuner.

Parts included: Antenna Head, mounting hardware, pole mount bracket, RV antenna bracket, power injector, power supply, and dielectric grease packet. Installation Manual by Camping World – September 17, 2015
Will this fit on my existing King Digital mast ?
by Lee – May 11, 2015
May 11, 2015
I lost my antenna head due to a low branch. The mast was stronger than the head so the head simply pulled out of the mounting. I just need to replace the coax going up to the antenna
Did it this afternoon. Took about an hour total. If you want to raise and lower, you'll need to either do what I did, or remove the old plastic housing and have a bar made to allow the three arms to stay in place, as they are mounted under the housing box. I didn't do that. I cut the aluminum blades off the old antenna and mounted the Jack directly on top of the old plastic housing, screwing the flattened mounting plate into four slightly drilled holes in the top of the old housing. I could plus it up with a set of big stainless steel hose clamps, but it feels fairly well on there on its own. I used to get one analog channel at best in the driveway, and now I get 8 digital channels. Works great. I didn't even have to install the inline amp that came with it. I may later, behind the inside controller, just to see if it does any better....but for now, it's all good!

Has anyone installed the antenna head on an existing Winegard rotator right next to an A/C unit?
by RickinSD – May 25, 2014
May 25, 2014
On my Itasca Navion the existing batwing antenna folds down right next to the A/C unit. When I installed the Jack antenna head, it hits the A/C unit. It appears that if I could turn the provided bracket 90 degrees, it would clear the A/C unit, but it doesn't allow it. Has anyone had this problem and have a solution? Thanks.
I installed one on a Coachman Mirada right next to the air conditioner. It was easy. Just turn the head the direction you want it. (away from the air conditioner) Not sure it is any better than the original as for as reception, but the wind had destroyed my original.

Does this pick up tv signal without a dish or direct tv tuner? Another words is this all you need to get local stations?
You will pick up local over the air channels but you will need a digital tv or dtv box to translate the over the air digital signals received.
by Anonymous – May 05, 2014
This is a broadcast or "over the air" antenna head, this only picks up local channels (range of up to 90 miles depending on the terrain). This is not for satellite service.
by Camping World – April 30, 2014
Yes, this is a directional antenna.

I DO NOT have an LED tv in my camper. It is one of the older kind. Do I need a converter box to change the digital tv signals to analog?
by shorty – April 18, 2014
April 18, 2014
My camper is a 2005 Itasca with the original tvs. These
tvs are not digital. I would like to add the Jack to get better reception. Will I need a converter box for each tv or can I put the converter in-line before the distribution box?
This can be used to replace Winegard Sensar series antenna heads, yes. See the following link for installation instructions.
