This is a direct replacement bulb for my 12v incandesent bulb. It is very bright, really lights up room, and is NOT hot. Before we could not sit very long under the light fixture because it got so hot. Now, no problem. The only drawback was you must have a drill and proper size drill bit to install permanently. The proper screw and spacer are provided with the bulb.

I purchased two LED replacement bulbs for our RV in case of a power outage. My wife made me remove them as she says they are too bright and too much like fluorescent lights. If we lose power I can put them back in!
