I installed this on a new 2012 RAM 3500 and it fits very well, looks nice, and works fine. It was easy to install, although there are some inserts in the tailgate hinge that have to be slipped into place that aren't shown on the installation guide. Now I can hitch and unhitch my 5th wheel without opening the tailgate, and without ruining my original RAM tailgate by forgetting to open and close it!!
