Currently the RV is in winter storage and we have not used the RV9145 on a trip. We did however follow the instructions and entered all the RV data into the system. It was straight forward and easy to understand.

Great improvement over our old GPS, which had one absolutely maddening flaw - it gave directions by street name instead of by route number. I would try to check the route it was sending us on by comparing it to a road map - impossible to do. I never knew if Ridge Road was state highway 23 or some pig trail. On top of all the Magellan's other great features, it uses route numbers in it's directions! I love the RV- specific features and having the Trailer Life campground directory in there is absolutely wonderful. What a time and stress saver! We are taking the Magellan to Alaska this summer and I can't wait to really put it through its paces.

We have traveled from east Texas to southern California with this system since we bought it at Christmas and have had great results. It is nice to have campgrounds, fuel stops, Walmarts, etc., listed by name for selection. My main complaint is that, for multiple-destination trips, I can't see all the legs at once. You have to be satisfied that the GPS will get you to the first destination before you can see the route to the next one. Also, the windshield mount is useless in our motorhome (we wouldn't be able to reach the screen) and shakes a lot when mounted in the car. So we prop it on the console, which works fine. All in all, though, we are very happy with this product.

Used it on 3 trips since June. Works flawlessly. Only con is it takes getting used to the response time of the touch screen..Finding places is easy with several ways to search an address or business. I shoulda spent the extra money and got the 9165 with Bluetooth.
