I used the GPS on one major trip from St. Louid, Mo. To Las Vegas & back which included the addresses of 5 different family dwelings . The GPS did not miss a beat. I should note that this was in a car & not a truck pulling a fifth/wheel.

I purchased my GPS in June, 2012. Constant unexplained restarts required Magellan to replace my unit with a new one... no questions asked. The replacement unit had the same problem: unexplained restarts. There seems to be a problem with the operating system. Another support request via email to Magellan went unanswered. I'll try again. The GPS itself has great features and usability. Updates to the maps are, by nature, few and far between. They are seemingly out of date by the time they are released but that has been my experience with numerous other GPS's. Caution: In the year that I have used this GPS the low clearance warning has failed to worked in all cases.

When I first received the item I found it hard to get started with the information provided. It seemed to take forever to download the maps, that could have been the poor internet at the campgrounds where I was staying. It did not recognize my home address and kept trying to change it when I entered it. It did not work until I put the villiage address as the villiage next to mine. It did however take me home. My old GPS gave me my speed at all times which i liked and this one only gives it to me for a short time and then disappears. I need this as my speedometer is in KM per hour and when in the US I use MPH. I would like to see miles to destination on the screen. At one point it told me to turn right and it really meant go straight ahead subsequently I went 5 miles before I could get turned around and go back to my original point. I like the large screen but somtimes would like the lane placement and which one to take more defined. I am still learning about it and wished it would have an instruction book included with it as opposed to going on line to get the information needed. I also like the night the tone of the screen at night, easy on the eyes. I followed it to the letter from Florida to NS and it was not too bad, although I did change the routing to stay away from NYC. All and all 'not too shabby.

This is a great GPS. Had one problem when I first received it and tried to update the maps. Magellan sent a new replacement uit very quickly. I like the interface because it is very intuitive. I have had Garnin GPSs before and they are not as easy to use as this one. I also like the Bluetooth feature which allow me to use my cell phone in a hands free mode. This is a great product. Pushing one button to find local diesel stations is really helpful.

Purchased the Magellan RoadMate RV9165T-LM GPS in September 2012 - have taken it on 2 road trips - one for 1200 miles and the 2nd for 3000 miles. I purchased it and paid the extra money because I wanted something specific for the RV - it works well as far as GPS's go, but doesn't really help in the RV area. I even called Magellan and verified that I had the correct model for the RV. No matter what size of RV I plug in, it takes me down car routes, when it should take me down an RV or truck route. Even in Phoenix it took me right through town instead of the truck route, small towns, big towns, it doesn't matter, nothing specific for an RV. It tends to show gas stations where they aren't and not show when they are. When you search for gas stations it gives you a very good preview of what you have already passed, but not real good at what is coming up. Lanes in the big cities and the verbal guidance is very good, but a lot of the time takes you on a roundabout way of getting there, not exactly the route I would have picked for an RV. At the Grand Canyon it took me right through the parking lot and straight to the RV Park, exactly the opposite direction that the RV Park representative gave me when I was making the reservation. Bottom line, either way will get you there, although I would have definitely struggled a bit more without it. It does recalculate in a short time and quickly maps a new route instead of continualIy trying to get you to turn around back to the original route. I recommend it as a good guide, but don't use it as an absolute, you need to know your route and what variations can accommodate your RV.

This product has worked flawlessly in our new motorhome. I like the bluetooth integration, the lifetime maps, and the real time traffic updates. While we haven't run into any issues where the traffic updates have kicked in to re-route us, it is comforting to know that we don't have traffic issues in our path. Only a couple of wishes for improvement. 1) Wish the speed limit would show while on a route, 2) Wish we could see where nearby fuel locations are while on the freeway and not just on the ramp, 3) wish fuel pricing was shown,

Bought this unit 2 weeks prior to leaving on vacation. Didn't have much time to go over it completely, but the directions to and from my destination were amazing! Even when it recalculated the route it was right on. We have a class B+ 31' motorhome and it sat right on the dash without any problem. Even with some of the uneven, bumpy roads we were on, it didn't budge an inch. I really liked the fact that it gave you a 2 mile notice of your exit coming up and what lane to be in. Very satisfied with the unit and would recommend it.

Great lookin I love the size of the screen. Lots of information I especially like the capabilty of entering the size of my coach. One small problem the first time we used the GPS it locked up I shut it down, restarted it and it's been fine since.

This is quite the new toy. It seems to work very well in the few times that I have used it.The only thing that I can find fault with is you are stuck with one voice. If there is another one in there , I haven't found it.All in all it seems to be a good product.

fairly good gps but it lacks features that other gps's have and the screen sensitivity is poor.sorry magellan you should have went for a higher quality screen.ps nice feature on lm version....lifetime maps. also included lifetime traffic is a plus.
