The basket itself is made very well. High quality made.However I was very disappointed with the way it attached to my bicycle handle bars, and the bottom brace for it did not fit the fork of the bicycle at all and not stable enough that I would ride my Maltese of 6.5lbs. The way it straps to the bike a nd the bottom brace needs to
be redesigned for more security and stable ability for our pets.
Our Mini Pin loves it, he can ride with us, look around, and not get tired.
I only wish it was just a little bit bigger so he could lay down when he wanted to.
This basket went on my bike with no problems right between my brake cables. My 16# Havanese fits with room to spare. I would recommend this to others with small dogs. The balance is good with the dog inside and steering is no problem either.
We have a 5lb chihuahua that absolutely LOVES this carrier! The sides are the perfect height for him and the secure clips/tethers give us peace of mind while biking. It's great that the carrier easily detaches and converts to a hand held carrier as well.
My dog and I both love this item. It is easy to put on and take off of my bike. I have a 11 lb Jack Russell terrier and she just fits inside. I wish there was a bigger one for my 18lb dog. The basket is sturdy and well made. My dog loves the ride.
