Great Flag pole!!

I bought this for my husband for his birthday and he loves it! We can't utilize it under the tires because of the awning and slide out, so I also bought the hitch adapter and it worked perfect. There is always a breeze here on the Gulf Coast of Florida and it was beautiful with our American flag and Buccaneers flag flying!! Highly recommend this!!

After carefully searching for a durable tailgating flagpole I decided to purchase this product. I camp in the mid west where the wind blows almost all the time and I wanted a pole that wouldn't buckle if the wind speed came up. We have flown the flag in estimated 25 mph winds in Kansas without issue. I use common sense and if the wind is gusting hard I shorten the pole or collapse it. I like the feature that you don't have to deploy the full 20 feet. At times we camp under trees and only deploy 12-16 feet rather than the full 20 it is capable of. I secure the included tire mount under the foot of my trailer hitch and it is solid as a rock. I did lubricate the pole sections with spray on silicone to make the segments telescope easier. It stores nicely in the included nylon zippered form fitted storage bag. I would buy again if I needed another and highly recommend it.

I have been very pleased with my recent purchase of the Telescoping Flagpole. Its light weight and easy to use; I use it with the wheel plate mount and also purchased the receiver hitch mount. I would recommend this set up to any RVer.

This is a very sturdy and well made pole. We attach it to our hitch and it works great. It folds up so easy and stores easily in the basement of our coach. My one and only minor complaint is the tire anchor. The pole is so close to the coach that it bangs into the coach if there is much wind. Probably okay in low wind areas but very windy where we live. I would buy this item again. Love it.

Wobbly Base Perhaps not for a Class A Motor Home?

August 17, 2012
This pole sets up easily and is easy to extend. I would have given it 5 stars if it were not limited because of flexing. The problem as I see it is that the flat portion of the base is too short to put much of it under the back wheel of a Class A motor home. (I should mention that the illustration shows it being used with trailer and I believe that the flex in that application would be acceptable.) The combined flexing of the base plus the flexing of the pole allows the pole to hit the side of the motor home. I am sure that I can figure out a work-around, but it was disappointing that it needs work coming right out of the box. Right now I have it tensioned with a bungee cord to the power pedestal and if the park management does not have a conniption, then I should be okay until I move on.

This is a sturdy flagpole. It holds 2 flags and it is very tall. It goes up and down easily. It comes with a storage bag and doesn't take up alot of storage space. I would highly recommend it.

Compact, effective, but takes practice

We've had this pole for a couple of years. It became very hard to use, so I crossed my fingers and used the silicone spray lubricant intended for our tow bar. It worked wonders and to my surprise did not affect the locking ability of the joints. The tire stand is short but one doesn't need to put much of it under the tire.

I agree, the sections were hard to lock/unlock and they kept sliding down. I e-mailed Camco RV and explained this to them. They sent me a new pole. This one has the automatic hole alignment, with spring pop-out buttons. It's a little tight, but I haven't used it yet. but I'm extremely pleased with their customer service.

We are having a problem with the flagpole. I'm not sure if its the salty air of the south, but the telescoping portions have corrision inside making it hard to raise if we can raise it at all. But overall, its a great flagpole. Very portable.

Flagpole (Do you really need it?!)

Your wife may ask if you REALLY need this flag pole, but I will support you in saying - YES - you DO NEED this!!! I bought this item 8 months ago and display it every time we camp. I proudly enjoy flying the Stars & Stripes along with a second flag below it. It has clips that hold two full size 3'x5' flags! It is so easy to put up and take down. It comes in a really nice quality tube zip-up bag with holding strap. Also included is a pipe stand that has a large flat plate to put under a tire. This mounting system works pretty well but you just have to remember to put it down before you get done parking your rig! I am going to make a pipe holder that is mounted up on the tongue of our trailer to make things a little easier & raise it up a couple more feet. The price has gone up since I bought this item. (I think it was $169?) I felt that was too expensive but I have NO regrets and LOVE it. Good luck with the wife on this one! =-)
