Mr. Heater - November 05, 2008

Have a 20' Northwind setup on my hunting property. No power, used my Mr. Heater for the first time last week when night temps went to low 30's. Mr. Heater worked well but like others have said, loves to eat up the fuel. Ran 4 hours on high, then next night ran 6 hours on low. Did keep the trailer warm and comfortable even though it takes a little time to get there. I am pleased with the product, next time will hook up to 20# bottle for long run times.

Works Great for What It Is - December 17, 2007

I bought a Mr. Heater to use while boondocking as I I do not have a propane furnace, only electric heat (the furnace was removed by a previous owner and the space converted to storage). Without a fan it takes awhile for the heat to totally warm up the 20' Class C but it will take the chill off fairly well. I've used it when the outside temps are in the low teens and it does a decent job but it does have an appetite for propane on the high setting. I feel very safe using this heater in the RV but like others I keep a vent/window cracked open to allow some air in, just in case. One thing to keep in mind is that the low air sensor shuts off the unit at high altitudes. I tried to use it at 6,000+' elevation and it would only run for a few minutes at a time.
