Induction cooking technology warms only the food and pan - not the cooking surface! Energy produced by the cooktop is directly supplied to the cooking vessel by a magnetic field. There are no open flames or heating elements, so the glass surface remains cool to the touch. Energy-efficient cooktop uses 90% of energy produced. Self-adjusting burner detects the size of the cookware base and adjusts output automatically.

Two independent zones allow for precise, immediate temperature adjustments. Food won’t stick to the safe, stay-cool surface, so it’s easy to wipe up even the messiest spills. Bought this cooktop for RV but have been enjoying it in the home until we get ready to go RVing. Can't believe how quickly it heats whatever you are cooking, then burner cools down immediately. Will enjoy this in the RV to use inside and outside as it will save on using propane. Electricity is paid at the site where propane is our expense. May end up buying one for home too as we enjoy it so much now.

We use our induction cooktop every day, all day. We bought it because I didn't want to use the propane cooktop and we found the induction cooktop is faster, cleaner, cooler and safer than the alternative gas. Our stainless cookware we bought years ago is compatible with the cooktop and we have found some extra pieces at kitchen stores. (Just take a magnet with you to check before you buy.) The cooktop is almost idiot proof. We leave the cooktop on the counter all the time: I place a small towel over the top when it is not in use.

This boils water fast and only the pot gets hot! I'm not afraid of the cats getting hurt on it after cooking is finished. Also, I was pleased that my aluminum pans with steel bottoms are working well on this. This is so easy to use, and it's nice to be able to leave my propane use for the furnace!
