The simple way to “soft” water, the On The Go Water Softener will give you a full range of soft water benefits, including prevention of scale build-up and rust stains; reduced water spots and extended life for your water heater and other appliances. It’s designed for quick, simple regeneration, using only 26 oz. of ordinary table salt to soften 320-800 gallons of water per cycle. This patent-pending design includes hardness test strips, storage inlet/outlet caps, handle, inlet hi-flow shut off valve, inlet and outlet hose adapters, back-flush adapter, high pressure 4' white drinking water hose and a full cradle base. Compact size--only 22"H x 6 3/4" dia. and weighs only 18 lbs.

We have always had a water softener in our homes, so when we purchased a travel trailer it just seemed natural to have a water softener there too. This one was very easy to install and works great. The use of table salt is just icing on the cake.

Amazing difference in water softness. We have been using it for almost 2 weeks and it is still working well and hasn't needed to be recharged. I've not had a problem with the fittings and have even added brass quick disconnects. Just be gentle with them and they should be fine. Great product especially when on sale.

The directions should point out that the connectors are plastic and fragile and will break if tightened to tight. v Mine broke and I had to go buy a metal connector on the inlet side to make it work.

Like the 4 previous reviews, we like the unit and it's effective. But after a week of use including a few tear downs and set ups, it's clear the plastic water connections will ensure ample opportunity for water leaks over the useful life of the unit. These connectors also warp too much when tightening to use brass quick-disconnects to ease tear down and set up.
