Took me less than 5 minutes to install and now it takes me
about 10 minutes to winterize my camper. This is the second
one of these I have bought for 2 camper and I think this is
the best purchase I made. I think these should be factory
Considering the cost of ball valves, this is a good deal. I have quick attach fittings on my pump so this did not install as quickly as it does for others. I had to cut a hose and add a couple elbows. The product works as intended.
This littlepump converter winterizer kit is well worth the money. I have a Class A Motor Home and it took me about 10 minutes to install this littel gem. My wife helped with the winterizing and that took another 10 minutes.
winterizing our toyhauler couldn't be any easier with this kit installed...easy hookup to our water pump...no leaks and
easy to use...keep a lipped plastic container under the connection just in case...
Works great , but if your pump is mounted in a location that's hard to get to, you might
have a problem adapting this system properly, And if you get it mounted be sure there
is enough room for a container of antifreeze.
In order for this device to be mounted permanently I would have to relocate the pump and I'm not certain there would be room for that. As it was the inlet line attached to the diverter valve rubbed the wheel well and caused a vibration. I used the valve to get antifreeze into the system then removed it. You can accomplish that with a 90 degree plastic fitting and a piece of tubing. Save your money.
I purchased this item yesterday and installed it in a matter of minutes (only hold up was the tight space in my bay where the pump is located). It was simple to install (if I say say simple it was. I usually pay folks to do everything.) I love the fact that you don't have to remove it after use. It's permanently installed on the RV like on the big $ coaches. I wanted the accessory for my coach for a while but did not because I thought the cost would have been so expensive. I would have never thought that I could have gotten this done for less that $20.00. Awesome product.
Ok so I used to pay $100 or so each year to get my travel trailer winterized. After talking to a friend he pushed me towards doing the winterization myself. Well I feel awfully dumb now after several years of paying for it to get done. This kits made it so easy. Everything just unscrewed off my water pump, screw this inline and I am all set. Took less than 10 minutes to install (it matters which way the t connector is put on, pay attention to that). Took another 5-10 minutes of fussing with the faucets but it worked
like described in the brief directions on the back of the packaging. Excellent buy, would highly recommended to anyone.
my pump has the push on clips which created a bit of trouble. i had to
run to my local rv store for an adaptor. after figuring out the needed
parts it was a breeze. installed i just a few minutes. tried it out when i
had to winterize. it worked great. winterizing only took 5 minutes and
about a gallon of anti freeze.
I installed the kit, tested it, and it works great. Well made brass
valve. Like a previous reviewer, there was not enough room to
install the supplied valve directly onto the water pump. My solution
was to cut the intake hose halfway between the water tank and water
pump, and install the supplied valve in-line. You need two pipe
thread-to-hose barb adapters, attached to each end of the valve.
The Shurflo Model 8-070-1 adapters (aoubt $3 each) worked great
for me. I can send a picture of the installation if requested.
Fortunately my hoses were fairly fllexible; it might be more difficult
with a very stiff hose.
Good Product, but installation much longer than stated

This is basically a good product and appears to be well-made. Once
it is finally installed, you will use less antifreeze and de-winterizing will
be easier than the Pour the antifreeze into the fresh water tank
My installation experience was MUCH longer and difficult than 5
minutes. The 5 minute installation COULD possible be true if:
1. There is adequate room in front of the pump inlet to add this valve.
2. The tubing your RV uses is flexible enough to bend to
accommodate this valve without having to do a re-plumbing job.
3. Your RV uses the hand-tightened type of fittings to attach to the
4. You know exactly what to do, how you're going to do it, and have
already read the instructions.
My motorhome use the semi-rigid PEX plastic tubing, and there
wasn't enough room in between the fresh water tank and the pump
for this valve. I probably spent 8 hours total, over two weekends,
doing this job. I had to rotate the pump 90 degrees and add elbows
to get enough room for the valve to fit. I also had to cut the crimp
bands off the old fittings using a Dremel tool, and use a hot knife to
split the tubing. I'll admit I did a lot of head scratching, and had to
make several trips to the hardware store. I also had to buy about $15
of additional material, including brass elbows and braided flexible
plastic tubing. The smaller hardware stores don't carry the twist-on
RV fittings with the rubber seals, so you may have to go to an RV
store. If I had to do the exact same job over again on the same RV,
and had already gathered all the materials, I might be able to do it in 2
or 3 hours. But I don't intend to do this job again, anytime soon.
Installing this kit took literally 5 minutes, worked like a charm, and, best of all, stays in place for use year after year. Save yourself lots of hassle and mess and buy this kit. Great product that exceeded my expectations.
Works great. If you have the small plastic filter ahead of your pump, be very careful and maybe have a standby ready. during the cold (40F) temps, the plastic became brittle and broke. Easy enough to remove and replace later, but a bit of a dissapointment.
Winterizing took 2 minutes and 2 bottles with the hot water BP!
Great investment. I'd use this over and over but only need it one time a year. Took literally minutes to install and worked like a charm. Pump was ready to go and sucked directly from the jug. What an easy way to winterize the rig. Would recommend this to everyone if it's not already standard on your unit.
Once I installed the Pump Converter Winterizer Kit, it took me 15 minutes and 2 gallons of antifreeze, to winterize my Pilgrim 5th wheel. I didn't notice any drop in pressure. The install was a bit difficult, only because of where my pump is located. Had my pump been in a more accessable place, the install would have been quick and easy too.
