A five star nights sleep

The learning curve was a bit steeper than expected, however our maiden voyage was from home at about sea level to the Canadian Rockies at 4364 feet, so we had a bit of adjusting to do. After a few days we had it figured out and all is now well. We now get a great night’s sleep. We were advised (by the sleep number service department) to deflate the mattress prior to travel due to the altitude changes, and now it’s part of our pre trip check off list to reduce the mattress to 20 on each side. This takes a bit of time as we have found you must sit (or lie) on the mattress, set the desired level and wait (watch the gauge) for it to deflate. Repeat this on both sides. This process is also necessary because our bed is in a slide out and when the slide is “in” the foot of the mattress pushes a bit on the dresser at the foot of the bed. We now enjoy “five star” nights sleep.
We just put our new sleep number in our RV. It was super easy to install. We went on YouTube and watched a demo which made it a piece of cake. It probably only took 45 minutes to put together. We already have one at home that we love. I'm a side sleeper and have terrible hip pain, but with this mattress, I have no problems sleeping!
Pros: Comfortable, Worth the price, Easy to use, Easy to install
Review of installation of 60" x 80" Queen bed

Thus far, my review only addresses the installation of the bed. I have not used the bed yet. Secondly, I was replacing the original Sleep Number that came with the coach when new, and had developed an air leak. So, being a replacement action, rather than installing a first time unit, made the installation a very simple process. I also have an adjustable Sleep Number in the home.
I can only say that this is the best bed that I
have ever owned. A decade ago, I bought a generic air bed which needed a 3
memory foam topper. We decided to try this bed without the memory foam and are
happy to report that we found we do not need the memory foam. The bed by itself
is great. I have had a problem with hip pain that would wake me with such regularity
that I started taking an Aleeve at bedtime. Thankfully, that hip pain is gone. I am a
side-sleeper and find that I no longer move from side to side through the night. Put
me in the happy column. We are full-timers.
We wanted a new bed for our fifth wheel and since we have had a sleep number bed in the
house for several years, there was no question as to what we wanted for the trailer. This is
a great bed and now we can get a good night's sleep when at home or on the road.
When I opened the boxes I thought I had made a big mistake getting this bed ! So many
pieces to put together. After looking at the instructions it made sense but I was still
skeptical. After assembling the mattress (about 1hr 15 minutes) it was time for the real
test . My wife and I had a really refreshing nights sleep . We didn't know what # so we
both set it at 55. In 3 weeks we have not even changed the setting it feels so good to
both of us. I have an old worn out back but I still wake up pain free . Its a good thing I'm
retired because I don't want to get out of bed in the morning. My wife feels the same
about the bed. I would buy it again and highly recommend it to anyone. I checked
around for a better price but no one beat Camping World!
We have a king size mattress, but have decided to travel around in a 5th wheel. The
mattress it came with would be okay for a few days in summer, but not to live in like we are,
so we ordered a queen. We absolutely love these mattresses! Just the fact you can
change it to YOUR liking, what could be better in a mattress? Wow, it's like a cloud…we fall
asleep so fast.
I recently had this bed installed at CW after visiting a Sleep Number store. The
foam pad between the mattress zippered top and air chambers below is quite thin
and flimsy. I called Sleep# customer care and they graciously upgraded the foam
pad w/o additional charge. After sleeping a week with the additional pad I give the
bed 5 stars! The 4 stars is because a bed this expensive should not have
substandard foam in the first place. A side benefit... this bed weighs less than the
previous mattress and reducing coach weight is a good thing.
I like sleeping on this bed, but I live at a high altitude and many times when I travel I have
huge altitude variances. This has been a problem for this bed. Sleep Number
recommends lowering the pressure in the bed for changes in altitude. This is more difficult
and annoying than it seems. In the first year, one half of the mattress failed and began a
slow leaking progress that made it unusable for the remainder of our trip. Sleep Number
customer service quickly replaced the mattress at no cost to me.
Bought this mattress as a replacement for our 5th wheel. A good investment, used it in Florida for 2 months, never slept better once we got the pressure right for each of us. Took
a week or so to get the # right. Would recommend to friends
We've only slept on this for a couple weeks, but I really like it. It takes my wife quite a while before she can put
a definite rating on this, but her initial take is that it is good. It is way far better than the mattress that came with our camper. With the sale price, I think it was quite a bargain.
We love this bed and should of bought one years ago. You can not do wrong buying
this. My husband and I each can select our comfort level which is nice. Customer
service with CampingWorld is excellent.
It was a very good thing that we already have one of these beds in our home, or we would have had no idea how to build it. No instructions came with the bed so we had to
wing it. After calling Camping World, (they told me to contact the bed company) and looking up the instructions ,online (there were none for the travel bed!!) I was finally
able to contact the company where they emailed me the instructions. The instructions didn't go into detail about how to place the pump, or any pertinent info on setting it
up for travel. We did find that we had put the corner blocks in upside down, so we had to take the bed apart and start over!
This is our first time sleeping on a sleep number bed. After 3 to 4 nights my wife and I are experiencing greatly reduced back pain, what a blessing. Only takes a couple of nights to find your number. Our recently purchased coach comes with the king. We would have insisted on the number bed, it would have been a deal breaker!
Fast shipping, and exactly what we wanted! We had one in
our house before going full time and I should have ordered
it immediately instead of waiting to see how the old
mattress would work. Sleep is wonderful and we each have
our 'number' to sleep to.
We are full timers and my wife has a bad back. This matteress has been a God send for us. My wife has never had such a good a nights sleep until we got this mattress. We just select the pressure which gives each of us the correct firmness and we both get a very
comfortable nights sleep.
You may return unused, unopened bedding for a refund or exchange within 30 days from date of purchase. A receipt is required. Bedding that has been opened cannot be returned.
