Winegard’s first fully automatic over-the-air HD TV antenna is here!
Unlike other over-the-air antennas that must be manually aimed for local digital broadcast signals, this antenna automatically scans and searches for available TV signals and points where the most channels are found. It’s simple and super easy, just the way it should be! Manual override option lets you manually tune the antenna if you desire. The Rayzar Automatic is a dual band VHF/UHF antenna that uses a state-of-the-art amplifier to increase range and channels while reducing the chance for pixilation and dropouts. Encased in an ultra-sleek, attractive white dome, all elements are protected to withstand harsh outdoor conditions. Includes 12-volt DC wall plate interface/power supply, 20’ 75 ohm coax cable, 6’ 75 ohm coax cable, mounting hardware, interior ceiling cover and exterior roof plate. Backed by Winegard’s 2-year limited warranty. U.S. Patent Pending. Designed and manufactured in the USA.

I've had 2 of these installed (1 as a warranty replacement) and both display the same error code (E3) when trying to search for stations. Winegard technical support says that the error code is due to the motor drawing an abnormally large amount of current. When it works, it works great, making finding OTA-TV stations a breeze; when it doesn't work, though, it's not much use at all...and it doesn't work more often than not.
Pros: Brings in 20+ channels, Small size, Improved reception, Brought in 30 more channels

I replaced the Jensen omnidirectional antenna that came with my trailer with this Rayzar RZ-8500. Fast and easy installation. In my present location the Jensen was not receiving even one station. The Rayzar pulls in 24 stations plus 4 times as many sub-stations. This unit works much better than the batwing that I had on my old trailer. One review said their Rayzar motor failed early - so I purchased the Camping World walk in warranty as insurance. I love this antenna.

Purchased this unit to replace an Ommni that had poor performance and was mounted near the AC. We just completed a 3 week tour of Ontario and Central states. Seven locations in all. Got Steady reception in all but one location ( Manitoulin Ont). The Manitoulin performance was spotty with one good day and four no signal. On the good day We received tv from mid Michigan an estimated distance of around 85 miles. That seemed to be in ideal weather conditions. The Monroe location was split between Detroit and Toledo. We had to correct slightly to get good reception with either city. Mid Ohio near Akron got us over 50 channels. In Hancock MD we were getting both Hagerstown and Harrisburg. Overall I would buy again. No problems and I installed it myself. Was able to move the location back from the AC. The only reason for four stars is I do not know if the crank up antennas could outperform this unit in weak conditions. With more experience may move it to five stars. If 4.5 stars was an option I would have used that.
Pros: Brings in 20+ channels, Easy to install, Easy to install, Improved reception
    Cons: Affected by weather conditions
