After owning the same Reese 16.000lb.hitch since 2005 I felt uncomfortable with the amount of wear that I had naturally accrued with two different trucks. So with fairly new rails installed by Camping World I ordered a new 16,000 lb. Reese Fifth Wheel replacement hitch. The first thing I noticed was the smaller dimensions on most of the surface's. I have to use the bottom holes (Dodge 2500 four door 8ft.bed) on the hitch to lower it in the bed so the Fifth Wheel will ride level. Well I saved the old hardware to check the new one out and found out that the hitch ride's lower in the bed because they changed the height and width of every thing! The problem with skimping on material by using smaller diameter mounting pins is that the hitch wants to lift up in the rear when braking and lift up in the front when powering up, creating a bang! So when the bean counter's come knocking on the door saying you are putting too much into the product, slam the door in their face! They used to make these in the USA, now in Asia somewhere. Not too happy right now with this product, and yes we are getting tired of it!
