We bought two, one for the fridge and one for the freezer compartment in the RV. The temperature controls vary when you are using propane or using electricity so it is good to watch the temperature so the lettuce dosen't freeze. These are cheap, no parts to break and you just hang them on the shelf and you can check the temperatures at a glance.

It is easy to hang and move around., it is thin, and has no batteries. The size is about right but personally I would prefer a smaller version.

now have a thermometer in the refrig and freezer sections...well made and works like a champ...two different mfg/model in each section but same reading.
