    Keeping Awning Secure

The awning Clamp is easy to install. This item provides a peace of mind when traveling. My primary reason for the installation was securing the awning in the up position. In this day and age of electric powered awnings, the Awning Clamp secured the awning in the travel position when the electric motor failed, until we could get it repaired.

One of the best products on the market when it comes to securing your awning. Have been using it for years sense my awning unravelled while in transit . Just. Got new trailer couldn't wait to get new clamp for it .

I have a 96 Monaco Class A with one long awning and one shorter one that are both very close to the top of my rig. Before I installed these awning clamps I feared driving when strong winds were forecast since I had my longest awning whipped open two times. The first didn't do any damage, but the second time my canvas material pulled half way out of the metal protective cover - not an easy fix. Now that I have installed these clamps (2 on my long awning and 1 on the shorter one) I have no fear of strong winds which I have been in several times since. I installed them myself (good instructions) almost 5 years ago. I just damaged the 2 on my long awning and plan on repairing them ASAP. These things WORK!

    Works but breaks easily

I'm ordering my third one of these. The first one was cherry picked off by a tree, the second just busted off when I was loweing my awning. After having my awning open in a high wind on a busy freeway I decided to get something a little better than the little lock that secures the mechanism. I now put two inch double wrapped velco tape around the awning arms and use the awning clamp. The awning clamp, when in place, secures the awning pretty darn tight. Living in Southern California the winds get real nasty going over the passes and the awning clamp holds the awning nice and tight. Trust me, it's my third one. They take a beating and they break. I think they get brittle after a lot of sun and wind. If it breaks on one of the chain elements, you have extras to fix it. My problem is it broke where the hook goes into the latch making it unusable except for wiring it together. This thing is pretty easy to install, get your drill out and the phillips screw driver attachement as well. If you are mechanicaly inclined you should have this on in about 15 minutes. If you are a clutz shadetree mechanic like me, it may take you up to an hour, most of that spent finding the drill and a lader in your garages.

I have two of these clamps on my 21' awning. They work great! Gives me peace of mind while going down the road; one less thing to worry about. : ) No problems with leaks. Just Dicor the area after installation. Easy to operate and release.

I have had lots of trouble w/awning unrolling while driving. With air conditioners, antennas, spot-lights screwed to my roof and good sealant, I have had no problem and they work excellent

Excellent product! Very easy to install, very clear instructions. What I like the most about the AwningClamp is that I can latch and unlatch the clamp with my standard awning wand. I know I will never loose my awning when traveling again. Oh by the way, the AwningClamp is made here in the good ol USA.
