Agressive Glue, but Adjustable if your are Careful

I bought 3 rolls to clean up some sun damage on a 14' awning. The instructions warn the tape is very aggressive, so I figured that meant like duct tape and once stuck, I'd be stuck if it was wrong. What I found during application was that if it isn't going on straight, you can literally pull it back off and reposition it, then apply it and smooth it down. I think if 2 glued sides touched, you'd be toast. Three rolls did the 2 sides of the awning just fine, and I'm hoping it will buy me several years of service.

I just repaired a 24 in. rip on the stitch line along the outside boom of my RV awning. I did whip stitch the tear and follow directions concerning prep. The tape sealed the deal and is nearly invisible. Just be sure to take your time, the adhesive is quick and strong.

Awning Repair Tape

I was starting to get a tear in my awning and some of the outer cover was seoerating, I ordered this tape and repaired the tears. I repaired my awning about 6 months ago and have since gone to the beach and mountains everything is still intact. In the High Desert of California the summer temps get up to 110 degrees with very direct intense sun, this tape has not failed. Great value and does what it says it will do. Ensure you clean the surface first to get good adheasion, once on you don't even see it.

I asked a repair place to tape the rips in my awning from too much sun. They told me they couldn't and I'd have to buy a new Awning. I got the Tape from Camping World and repaired it myself. It works great and saved me a lot of money. You need to clean both sides (we used alcohol) and the Tape BOTH sides.

I bought this 6 years ago for a one foot rip in the awning. It has worked great since then, until a wind last weekend finally ripped the tape(and almost took the awning with it...). I'm buying another roll ASAP!

great tape ! i have a rip in my awning about 24 inches long, where it attaches to the roof siderail. I put the tape on both sides and it hasn't came apart or torn yet.. i've had the awning pulled out for a month now with no problems..the wind and rain have not pulled it apart...some good tape worth the money.
