Installed these extensions and the gutter water stays away. Very easy to install and during the first rain storm you'll see the difference. Great product and should be standard equipment on every RV.

Very easy install, works well in keeping the run-off away from the side of the coach, and that keeps the black streaks from forming. We're buying 2 more sets for the slide out gutter spouts.

How little the money and how great the help

These things work very well. You will save the cost in a bottle of black streak remover. The are very easy to install. I used a little white silicone to make sure they stay on but it is not necessary. I did knock off two due to trees but they snap right back on. I put them on my Cedar Creek fiver

I used them and they worked great on my Sunline. As another reviewer stated they do not work on my new Sandpipper 5th wheel. I wish they did but I can't figure out how to get them to stay.

Must have for your Trailer or RV

July 02, 2007
I purchased these several months after we bought our new Komfort trailer last year. They work great, very easy to install, and have had no difficulties in them falling off. As advertised they keep the water off the side of the trailer as we disliked the water stains prior to installing them. I guess you could add a little silicone if you were nervous about them staying on...but we have traveled many miles and they are still solidly in place. Highly recommend them...and a great buy even if they are not on sale.

Downspouts blow off

April 29, 2007
I installed the downspouts on my fifth-wheel and lost the two on the front of the coach soon after leaving on our first trip. I just ordered another set but will glue them in place this time. The rear downspouts have remained attached and do what they are supposed to do; direct the water away from the sidewalls.

Seems like a good product but not a universal fit for all spouts

600 out of 1201 people found this review helpful.
August 20, 2006
Does not fit my 2005 NASH travel trailer. The product is a clever design but unfortunately doesn't work for me. Today I noticed that a Forest River travel trailer next to mine in the storage yard has a down spout with the kind of different construction that is necessary for this extension to fit. Beware -- this product won't work for all. I made the mistake of not heeding the caution of prior reviewers.

I put a set of these on my 2006 Cougar 276EFS. No black streaks. They went on very easy. The hardest part of the install was moving the ladder. One reviewer added some silicone to help keep them on. Not a bad idea but I cruised to New Hampshire at (or over, sometimes) the 65 MPH speed limit and they were still attached when I got there and home.

I purshased and installed these extenders for my 2005 Jayco Jayflight 27 BH. The extenders were easy to install and fit perfectly over the existing OEM gutter spouts. I did add a small bead of silicone caulk to assure they don't pop-off going down the road.

Some people have reviewed this product and found it difficult to install, it was a piece of cake, had them on in less than 5 min! They work great, and have stayed on the camper at over 75mph! This past weekend the AC ran night and day, and the water poured off these and AWAY from the camper...no more black streaks.

Don't do what I did. Look at your existing spouts BEFORE you buy these. If your spouts are at a right angle to the gutters do not buy the clip on spouts. You will need the other model that completely replaces the existing spouts. If you try to force fit the clip on spouts, they'll either fall off, break your existing spouts off, or disappear as you cruise down the road.I took the clip on's back and got the replacment type after breaking 2 of my existing spouts off and knocking the other two off while washing the unit. Now tht the proper ones are installed ,they work exactly as advertised. No more black streaks.

Still Working!

I have had 8 of these installed on my Forest River TT for 6 months. They've made it through a couple of washings, a wreck, and 80mph towing. So far none have fallen off......they do their job well of getting rainwater away from the sidewall of the camper. Now - the details - you must have exisiting rain spouts on the ends of your gutters, that is what these attach to. I installed mine with a dab or two of Parabond between them and the existing rain spout....no doubt that has kept them in place. Lastly - read the instructions, look at the pictures closely before you start installing them...it will make the installation so easy...otherwise you spend an hour trying to figure out how they go on.

Great $8.00 Buy!

October 13, 2005
I purchased these against my husbands advice, however, I am pretty determined when I see something that I think would make life easier. After I brought them home I , of course, had to climb on top of our 5th wheel and "install" them. I assure you that these work great. I briefly thought about what to do when we travel; so far, I have found that they do not move. However, they certainly move the rain water and water from the A/C away from the RV. NO MORE BLACK STREAKS! I would certainly recommend these to enyone who owns an RV (with guttering of course)!

We just put 8 of these on our new 40' Forest River Wildwood trailer last weekend on all of the gutters. What can I say? They were incredibly easy to install. Some of the factory installed gutter spout ends were not installed properly and had to be tweaked a bit, but that's not the fault of this product. It took about 15 minutes to install all 8. They fit snuggly and look like factory pieces. I would definitely buy them again and would recommend them to anyone. They're cheap insurance to keep those blasted black streaks in check.

Gutter Extensions

October 10, 2005
I have these extensions on all four coners of my 26S Jay Feather. Black streaks are nonexistant now and eventhough it was recommended that I not travel with them mounted, I figured for $8 - $10 bucks. So what if they fall off. I did two weeks, 4500 miles from Louisiana to Yellowstone and back with them mounted. All four made it home. Never thought about removing them. Even drug though some low hanging limbs in one RV park and they stayed on. Well worth the money.

Rain Gutter Extensions

July 31, 2005
I made my first review remarks in April of this year. At that time I said they were "neat". After a 3,000 mile trip in June I have not changed my mind. They were very easy to install, did not blow off at highway speeds, channeled water from the sides of the rig, and have surely helped with the "black streak" problem. I still think they are neat and highly recommend them.

easy to lose

I liked the extensions until I took my first trip. One blew off and then I knocked two off with the RV wash hose. I initially put mine on with silicone cauck because they didn't feel very tight, but I guess that didn't help very much. I am buying another package to replace the one that was lost, (then I'll have 3 spares) but this time I'll be using hot glue and/or screws to insure they stay on. Of course, watch the hose at the RV wash.

Gutter Extensions Do The Job

65 out of 94 people found this review helpful.
May 06, 2005
As most of you do, I hate black streaks on my Sprinter HP fifth wheel. I had fabricated metal extensions on my own to place those drips further away from the trailer. When I saw these advertised, I said let me give them a try . They were easy to snap-on once I got the hang of it with the first one (and of course reading the instructions). They work great. I just wish some manufacturer would get rid of the right angle at the end of the gutter and just make a straight extension so pine needles etc can just wash straight out, not clog up the end with the 90 degree angle.
