Locking on to your satellite signal is now a one-person operation.
Satellite Signal Meter displays signal strength, according to dish position, with an easy-to-read analog needle and audible tone, allowing you to make necessary adjustments without having to yell back and forth from the window. Quickly installs between the satellite dish and receiver and includes a 3', 75 ohm cable for easy hook-up. Meter is powered by satellite receiver, so there's no additional power connection. Works great with #17018 Satellite Heading Compass.

Seems the other reviews had better luck then me with this unit. Hooked up as
instructed. Received signal, however was not very helpful. Signal was either 10 or 1
could not adjust with knob on meter to tune in strongest signal. I ended up taking it out
of the line and just used the tone the satellite system provides on their box. Not very
useful.

At first I could not get it to work. Then I read the directions. I could not get it off of a #1 reading. I turned the sensitivity up to close to 10. I turned it back to 5. From there I just kept letting it max out and turned it back down. When it maxed out and started to drop, I had an excellent signal. I did not have to look at the TV at all.

Purchased this unit to go with my Carryout MP1. Actually, don't have to have but is great for the money. Made set-up easier. TV tells you when it has a signal but this unit will help to fine tune and maximize that signal. Very sensitive but easy to use.
