Customer Reviews For Screen Door Opener

Why dIdn't I think of this? - July 18, 2008

Having to always slide the cover to open the screen door, with 2 young kids in the 5'ver, has become a pain. Now this simple device fixes that issue. I installed it in about 10 minutes and it works perfectly. Make sure you don't just eye-ball the job, but do take measurements. There is one drill point that is optimal for your unit. Mine is slightly off, but still works quite well. Excellent idea and I wish I thought of it. One note: Does not fit Airstream doors, per the packaging.

Fair Product - June 23, 2008

It was fairly easy to install since I had a 9/16 drill bit with a shank small enough to fit in a drill. It is basically just a plastic rod going through a rubber bushing. It does allow opening the screen door as long as you make sure you pull straight up. The rod is free to move left and right also which allows it to sometimes miss the handle on the screen door if not pulled straight up. Bottom line is that it is simple and it works but I don't know if it works well enough to go through the trouble to install it and use it.
