Works Great

This makes filling the water tank a piece of cake. It does slow the process down, but the fact of the matter is it keeps the hose attached and works the way it should.

Very convenient to be able to connect the fresh water hose while you can do something else. It does take some time to fill up. At least 15 to 20 minutes. But I assume that it would take that much time even if I did not use this product.

Works great, using for filling from city water and portable tank system I have in back of truck that I am using while at a campground in northern Illinois where they only have water available at office due to cold temperatures. Portable tank, pump, with hose connection make hauling water very easy.

Practical but slow

I wanted to use this item because it was difficult to fill up the reservoir when the faucet was far away and this tool really takes care of this problem. However the flow is for some reason greatly reduced, so it takes 3 or 4 times longer to fill the tank. I can go do other task and return to find it only half full. If you are in a hurry this thing will drive you crazy. Having said that I really like the product, the process is much easier and I would buy another one for sure.

If your RV has a city water fill on the side, this item is a must for you. We could not use the side fill. Called Fleetwood, our dealer, and others to find out how to utilize it for sanitizing. Could not get the water to go in. We found this on your site, ordered it and BINGO! this works.

This unit works very well. The original system does not work at all like most fittings on my Thor coach but this unit makes it easy to fill the water tank, a real blessing, of course no thanks to Thor.

Secure-Fill works well except...

This is a sturdy tool but the hose part is only half long enough to keep water from coming out of the fill tube in trailer before tank is full. I just bought some 5/8 line at hardware and extended the length and it worked great.

The Secure-Fill has a built in flow control that controls the amount of water that is put into a fresh water tank. If the user is hooked up to a faucet that puts out 35psi or up to 190psi the gallons per minute being pumped in will always remain the same. The gallons per minute are set so that the amount being pumped in is less than what can exit through the vent holes located in the cap area of the Secure-Fill. Placing a hose directly in a fill spout and running it at full capacity will create tank expansion whereas a hose hooked to the Secure-Fill will not.

This is a great gadget to add to your RV gear...you don't have to stand there holding the hose while your fresh water tank fills if you don't want to...you can do other things! And it had a shut-off valve on it...highly recommended.

Bought one last year and had to buy another one for my father in law. Love how i can fasten my hose directly to the fill and not have to worry about it falling out and spraying water everywhere. A+ product!

It works, but worth it?

I bought this a few days ago just before a trip. I figured it'd be nice to have a permanently mounted solution to sticking the 'ol water hose into the intake port. The idea as good, design, clever. However, you're instructed to secure it to the intake port each time, then remove after filling. I have a 2000 Trail-Lite, which has an 'overflow port' on the tank. I have found that filling the tank with the 'Secure Fill' takes longer, and when full, the water is still shooting out at me. I drained and re-filled, with the 'ol garden hose. It took less time, and I just 'charged' the fill line with the cap, and didn't get wet, as usual, thus keeping more potable water for my trip. IF the Secure-Fill, filled the tank up better ( a longer hose leading into the tank, to force free air out) I might consider it. IF it was a device I could keep permanently attached (check-valve) and not have the highway air siphon off water, it'd be a shoe-in! At this point, it's nice, if you're tired of a water hose, but it is only useful if your water-tank spits if you don't feed it several feet of hose.

Money well spent....

I've tried numerous methods of securing my hose to my fill spout and I always ended more frustrated than when I began. I had purchased a cheaper version which was basically a glorified piece of hose. When I tried the secure-fill it made filling my tank much less of a hassle. To make a long story short, I was a bit skeptical of the price but when you try this product you'll see it was money well spent. I would recommend the secure-fill to anyone who loves camping and RVing as much as I do.
