The performance and reliability you've always wished for in a pump can now be yours.
Flojet's unique Variable Speed Drive system needs no pressure switch. Its microprocessor provides precise speed control to match the system demand. As more water is needed, the motor drives the pump for more flow. As the demand lessens, the motor slows to a super-quiet speed, yet maintains a steady pressure. The result is an unbelievably home-like flow. This smooth performance from no flow to maximum flow is sensor controlled, without any cycling - so an accumulator tank is not needed. The system is free of pulsation, water hammer and temperature swings. Amp draw reduces as flow reduces to conserve energy, ranging from less than 1 amp to a max.of 10 amps. Self priming up to 10'.Automatically adjusts to 12V or 24V input. Thermal overload protection with auto restart. USA

Is it more quiet than the pump I had in my 2007 Jayco? Yes. is it silent? No, far from it. What keeps me from returning it is that when less demand is required, the variable speed pump operates more quietly than the On/Off nature of the previous pump. So if I want a trickle I can get a drink of water without waking anyone. If I want to fill-up my glass quickly , someone is likely to be awoken as it remains obnoxiously loud at full speed.. I will add that I contacted mfr by email about whether i should expect much less noise but there was never a response.

Like this pump so well, that this is my 2nd one. After 12 or so years, the first one's pressure sensor went bad, so I decided to replace whole pump as opposed to repairing. It is installed in a small 1995 27' 5th wheel RV that originally had a SHURFLO. Although more expensive, but best priced at Camping World, this pump is much quieter and outlasted the Shurflo. Also much easier to adjust and maintain a constant water temperature, especially when using the shower. Would highly recommend as a replacement if your wanting uniform pressure & flow at constant temperatures.

I hated the rattling noise any other pump I tried was making and decided not to spare expense to fix it. At the end, it only cost me 200 bucks to get a nice, quiet pump without any rattling noise whatsoever. When you open your facet half way, it turns itself on spinning slow just enough, when you open fully, it speeds up to keep up, you only hear something like an electric motor running but no rattle. And no need for accumulator tank either. I just love this pump and I'm never going back to those cheap ones.

I bought this pump to replace the standard noisy pump that came with my Laredo 5th wheel. The pump was easy to install and had all the connections that I needed. Aside from the higher cost, I had planned to adding an accumulator tank, but after reading about this pump I found out that I didn't need it. The pumps wiring IS NOT mouse proof, they ate everything but the motor, so I'm having to buy another one, 5 yrs later! I feel that Flojet should change their plastic formula so that mice will not eat it.

This pump looks dandy but would be overkill for my simple application when I could read the specifications. I tracked them down at the Flojet site (new construction is a little chaotic) so you can check the specifications for yourself: system.htm

The water pump in our 2010 Fleetwood trailer was noisy and had an awful water- hammer noise when operating. We installed this variable speed drive pump last weekend. The installation was straightforward. Compared to what we had, this pump is very quiet. We love it.

I purchased the Sensor VSD 4.5 gpm pump to replace the original - and very noisy - ShurFlo 2.8 gpm in a Holiday Rambler Vacationer. The new pump was quiet, but provided less water pressure in both the kitchen and bathroom faucets than the old one. I returned it as being defective, and bought the somewhat cheaper Sensor VSD 3.7 gpm pump. Although much quieter than the old pump, this also produced less pressure than the original. I emailed the manufacturer regarding my problems, and after a few additional exchanges to answer their questions, I was told that the restrictors used in current faucets would cause the pump to not "read" the demand like the old pump, and therefore not provide maximum pressure. Sure enough, this was the proablem. Removing these government required restrictors at the aerators solved the problem. I am very satisfied with the product and the very good technical support by the manufacturer.

Best water pump ever for us

This pump is the best one I have ever used in all my 35 years of motor homes. Its so much quieter than any stock pump and the water flows just like at home with out any pulsing. The big test was filling ice trays with the water turned on low and no surgeing like before with the old stock pump. And my pump is located under the bed and makes noise only when I first turn on the water then its so quiet that it can be used in the middle of the night with out waking up my wife. I love it.
