Great Way to Dump

I have been using the Sewer Solution for about a year now, after it was recommended to me by two members of the RV club to which I belong. I have just returned from 8 days at an RV park and I am certainly happy that I used the Sewer Solution. The device works great. You keep the gray water valve open, except when you are dumping the black water. This allows you to take a long shower and it allows you to wash dishes without worrying about the running water. When it is time to dump the black water, there is no fuss. I do admit that I use the black water tank flushing that is built into my RV, because it sprays down the walls of the black water tank and I have never tried the flushing feature of the Sewer Solution. The Sewer Solution is much neater because it uses a smaller dumping hose. I recommend purchasing at least one 10 foot extension, which I have needed several times. I purchased two 10 foot extensions and have the second extension, giving me 30 feet, once. The time that I was set up for 30 feet, I could have repositioned my motor home, but it was in a perfect location, so I used the extension. (I actually needed about 22 feet length.)

We are able to store our travel trailer on a pad next to our house, and one of the things that it gets used for a lot is as a guest room when friends or family visit us. After guests leave, I am able to dump my holding tanks into the sewer clean out in our front yard. The sewer clean out is only about 70 feet away from my trailer but it was always inconvenient to hook up and move the trailer to do the job. Using the Sewer Solution, I now am able to leave the trailer sit where it is and pump the holding tanks the 70 feet to the sewer clean out. To accomplish the 70 foot run I purchased 7 pieces of 1 inch, schedule 40 PVC. I don't glue the PVC but simply press fit it together using 1 inch PVC connections. Press fit works fine because there is no pressure on the connections.
When I am done dumping, the PVC rinses clean, comes apart, and stores neatly out of the way next to the house. All of the outward flow connections on the Sewer Solution are a perfect match for 1 inch PVC connections. The Sewer Solution was a great solution to my problem and works like a charm.

I have been using the Sewer Solution for over 4 years and will not go
back to the 3" hose system.
I had a situation at our favorite campground where the campground site
dump connection was plugged and we did not know it. At that time I
was using the 3" hose and had 20 feet extended. Well, what do you do
with 20 feet of black waste in your hose and it wont drain. Too say the
least it was a real nasty mess!
After that, I can plug or kink the 1" hose and at least make it to a
location to dump and clean up.
I carry 40' of Sewer Solution hose and use it at my house to dump and
clean out my tanks. I pump 40' and up 2 1/2' and it works great.
The only problem was the plastic valve connection broke and I replaced
it with a brass one from the Home Depot garden section with a quick
disconnect fitting. I suggest that if you are using the original one, buy a
backup, just in case.
My black tank valve is at the opposite side of the trailer, so I installed a
through the wall flush fitting in the black tank to clean out the tank and
mounted the connection, next to my dump location, put a water supply
wye with a shut-off and I can drain the tank, then flush the tank and
make sure my tank is really clean and never have to take a hose into
the trailer to flush the tank.

Does what it says- but don't throw the big hose away

I had read the reviews before I purchased this and thought all my tank emptying woes would be over. This thing does what it says but it has same drawbacks which make it a ok for the money.
Pros: It does what it says it does. It pumps uphill if you need to- a big plus.
Cons: The jet that forces water back into the holding tank doesn't have as much power as some of the other tank cleaning devices on the market. In fact, I still use the old backflush system I have with the sewer solution attached to it. The main problem I had is it took too long to drain when I was doing a good cleaning on the tank. When I used a cleaning wand through the toilet to clean the tank, it would take 5-10 minutes to drain because the hose was too small. The water went in faster than it could go out- even with the jet forcing water though the hose. I had to clean the tank multiple times until there was no waste coming out. It took me almost 40 minutes to get everything out. Next time I'll hook up the big hose for the final cleaning.

I just love this as it makes it so easy to dump and clean. I have always had trouble with the sensers in the tank not coming clean. I can now dump and get everlything clean in about 8 to 10 Minutes. This is great. It stores so easy and takes up less room.
