Sidekick Grill

We bought this as it was small enough to put into our outside storage opening yet had enough grilling surface area to cook for four people. Plus it mounted onto the side of our RV. Ours did come with a bonus adapter for the little portable bottles that we were not expecting as it is not mentioned in the website. Only drawback from getting 5 stars was the handles that stick up at the sides of the grill which are in the way if you use a flat griddle on top for pancakes. We will be removing those as the handles are not really necessary in order to remove your grill for any reason.

I read all reviews and it was unclear if the bracket that mounts to your motor home comes with the grill. It does you do not need to order anything else.

This came with our Jayco trailer, so had all the necessary connections already. Very handy attached to trailer, and is under the awning so can cook in rain. We used this almost every day on a cross country trip of 15 months. Mostly cooking just for two of us. When we did have visitors had to move stuff around a little to cook it all thoroughly. Not meant for a big party. Now rusting out after three winters in Florida, we will be purchasing the same one to replace the old one.

Included with my trailer

Had the grill not been included with the trailer I probably would not have purchased the grill. I'm glad it did. My trailer was plumbed for it, and the grill mounts to a swing-out rack on the trailer's back bumper. It cooks a little slowly, but I'm spoiled by my grill at home. I've used it twice- once for steak, once for burgers. It did just fine.Con- if it breaks or gets worn out, I'll have to buy another.

Sidekick grill on my Jayflight 25bks

I've used the Sidekick BQ for over two months on a cross Canada camping road trip. Okay buy for the price. Your suppose to used screw on bottled gas. Jayco didn't plumb this 25BKS for a gas BQ so I use a 20lb propane tank and regulator. Sidekick instructions say not to do that. This BQ doesn't generate much heat so it is slow cooking. Not much space for cooking anything other than four burgers or a couple steaks. Upper shelf is part of lower shelf so even sliding a baked potato to the rear of the grill is not always possible. Find the right front to be quite a bit hotter than left side or rear. The mounting bracket is good both hanging on the trailer side wall or as a stand on a picnic table. Bit high on the table but perfect on the bench.

the grill

We love the convenience of the grill. Our only complaint was that the connector hose that would hook it up to the propane the camper carries (which is why we bought it) is NOT included and no where on the item listed in camping world tells you that you need to order it separately. Luckily we had a little bottle with us so we could use it, otherwise we'd have been out of luck giving up our charcoal grill.
