Spare yourself!
Why didn't someone think of this before? With a spare tire carrier you can get back on the road in no time, keep your tires matched, save valuable cargo space and still tow whatever you want behind your motorhome. All while saving money — carrying your own spare allows you to control the cost.

The proactive approach to a flat tire:

  • With a ready-to-go spare, Roadside Assistance can get you back on the road quickly.
  • You have a place to put your spare, without taking up any valuable cargo space.

Designed by a seasoned RV traveler with over 40 years on the road, the spare tire carrier comes with a host of safety and convenience features:

  • A patented design allows the carrier to easily pivot to either side for quick access to rear compartments or the engine.
  • A built-in two-inch receiver hitch simultaneously connects a tow bar, hitch rack or other hitch-mounted accessory.
  • Comes with built-in safety cable connection tabs for a quicker hook-up and release of your trailer or towed vehicle
  • Two receiver pin holes for fit flexibility
  • Lug matrix design is compatible with most wheel bolt patterns
  • A spring-loaded auto-latching mechanism and a threaded anti-rattle hitch pin bolt hold the carrier securely — and quietly — in place. Specifications:
  • For 16", 16.5", 19.5", 22.5" and 24" wheels
  • 10,000-pound maximum capacity
  • 400-pound maximum tongue weight
  • Mounts in a standard 2-inch receiver hitch
  • Drops receiver hitch height by 2"
  • Black powder-coated finish for good looks, durability and corrosion resistance

    Don’t be this guy:

Suppose your Class A has a flat 30 miles north of Phoenix, out in the sagebrush and the yucca. Since you don’t have a spare (because of their weight and size, hardly any motorhomes come with spare tires) you call AAA and wait. Not a bit deal; within an hour you’ll have a new tire and be on your way. Except that AAA doesn’t carry spare tires. They have to take your tire back to Phoenix and hopefully find the right size, fit it, balance it and drive it back. That can take hours and leaves you wide open to paying some predatory tire dealer whatever he can get. Adding to that feeling of vulnerability is your long wait alone in the gathering darkness, listening to the coyotes.
