Recently upgraded from a single friction sway control to this set up. Had experienced poor results with the friction set up, and we were leaving for a trip with our 29' camper during a nor-Easter with wind gusts of 50 mph. The system kept sway to a minimum even at highway speeds and passing trucks. Highly recommend.

I've owned several weight-distributing hitches, with and without sway control. My most recent hitch prior to the Strait-Line was Reese's earlier version, with U-bolt-mounted trunion shackle swings; the only reason that do not still use that one is that it was destroyed in February of 2007 when my 37-foot Fleetwood Terry EX overturned in high (65-70 mph) winds while I was towing it through central Idaho. At that time, I swore off any more big towables and bought two class-A motorhomes (my wife and I do locum tenens medical work), but we are on the road full time with our three kids, so space became an issue. Last week, we purchased a beautiful 40-foot 2008 Forest River Sierra 351BHT travel trailer from Jeff Couch's RV Nation in Hamilton, OH, and I stopped at the Camping World in Little Rock, AR (Eric (Gen.Mgr.) and Toni (Parts Mgr.) were terrific, accommodating us after hours during a bad ice storm) and picked up a new Strait-Line 1200. When we got to Ohio to pick up the trailer, it took about 45 minutes for me to install everything and the 1300-mile trip back to Texas couldn't have been smoother, more stable and confidence-inspiring, especially after I discovered that I had a bad upper ball joint on the driver side of my Excursion tow vehicle. After replacing the ball joint, the combination almost drove itself and, except for the 10 mpg fuel economy (PSD 7.3), I almost couldn't even tell the trailer was back there. My advice? GET A STRAIT-LINE AND TOW WITH CONFIDENCE!!!

I an towing a 32 Outback TT (approx. 8000lb) with a Yukon XL 1500. I bought a Curtis weight distribution hitch and could not maintain 50 mph on the highway without swaying all over the road. I tried to buy a sway control for this hitch at Camper World but it was not available. I purchased a Reese Straight line 1200lb. hitch and installed it myself in a couple of hours. I can't believe the difference!!! I can tow at highway speed with no problems and no swaying. This hitch works great. I should have bought it from the start and saved $250.

I purchased this system this past summer when I bought our new 35 foot Cougar TT. I pull with a 2000 Ford F-250 2x2 diesel. I have no problems with sway or too much weight on the truck. this system eliminates the sway controller, and does it all. Can't beat the system unless you want to spend 2500.00 on a Hensley!!

Stress Free Towing

This product is worth every penny it costs. I am towing a 32' TT with a crew cab, short box pick-up. I never have sway issues and am comfortable towing through the middle of Seattle or on curvey mountain roads. You will not be disappointed with this product, a great alternative to the expensive Hensly Arrow system, and much easier to use.
