Rugged Swagman Bike Racks are easy loading and require no straps.
RVs generate exponentially more stress on bike racks than do cars and trucks. These Swagman Bike Racks are built and tested for use on the rear of RVs.

Padded V-shaped gripper cradles hold bikes securely in place. Locking knob secures bikes with just a twist. Ample spacing between cradles makes loading bikes easy. Towing models allow tight turns and fit over any Class III drawbar. Standard models fit any Class III 2" hitch receiver. Cold-rolled steel with corrosion-resistant powder coat finish. 3500 lbs. tow capacity.

  • Transports up to 4 bikes.

  • Flexible top plate to accomodate different bike sizes

  • Soft Kraton cushions help protect your bike and give additional gripping power.

  • Recommended for the back of RVs or motorhomes

I was disappointed when I got this home and found out that it does not slide over your draw bar like the 3 bike rack does. Instead it comes with it's own very long draw bar. I thought about drilling holes in my draw bar to make it work, but I wasn't sure if I would be causing other problems down the road. I will be taking this back to get the 3 bike rack instead, or I may buy one of those dual hitch extensions and use the top receiver for the rack. Other than that the rack is very nice.

I have owned and used this rack for several years. Purchased it directly from SM actually prior to it being available from other sources. Tow a older fairly heaving Starcraft tent trailer with 4 bikes on the bar. Fit is a bit tight but bikes do fit and do not get damaged. Do need to remove the outer most bike when backing into a site that requires a tight turn to avoid interference between the bike and trailer wheel jack in the upmost position. Well built, easy to use and secure. Mine came with a couple of lockable knobs for security in leaving bikes on unattended. After many use cycles, the top clamping plates are deforming a bit and might need to be replaced eventually but this is after dozens of uses and approx 10K miles

Found the Swagman towing 4 bike rack good, but 4 bikes do fit but very tight. You'll need to order a ball for towing that has a long shaft (21/2") so you can go through and through the long shaft provided. Not alot of room between the last bike and whatever your towing (Jon boat in my case). Design would have been much better it shaft woud have accepted a hitch attachment so the unit being towed could have been adjusted in height.
