I picked up this awning tension rafter a week ago at the CW store in San Bernardino, California and installed it at the campground. The instructions were excellent, easy to follow, and had good photos for illustration purposes. My awning is very long (19') and the roller tube had always sagged considerably when extended or when stowed, and so the awning fabric did too. After installing this on my 5th wheel, the awning now is taut and the roller tube is straight and true. It sure makes a heck of a lot of difference in appearance and function! Also worthy of note is that the awning now hardly flaps and snaps in the strong breezes or winds, so we never bothered installing our deflappers as we usually did. The added benefit, of course, is the support it gives when the awning is in the stowed position. Now I have peace of mind when roads get rough and jolt the rig.
