got it for a good price and recieved it quicker than than it was to be there. It took a few hours to install but wasn't hard to do.Works really well at the front of my 28' travel trailer but not as well at the rear, but thats to be expected since it only supports one way, unlike both ways at the front.

I have a 40' 14000 lb Dutchman Komfort fifth wheel that used to move almost two when my 3 kids would be running around inside the camper. I installed the strut system and the movement is almost completely gone. The installation is pretty simple. I had access to a good shop and good tools, that helps but this project can be done in your driveway. I recommend going on Ultra Fab's website and downloading the installation manual and get to know the construction of your camper before ordering so you know exactly what you are getting into. I also recommend choosing your mounting points on the camper frame carefully. You want very solid points so there is no flex. I have electric rear stabilizers so I had to do a little welding to make a mounting point for the foot pad. The only downside I encountered was the quality of the nyloc nuts. They did not hold tight after running the length of the bolt so I doublenutted and locktighted the nuts. As the other reviewers stated take your time and be patient with the adjustments because the tighter you can get all of the bolts the better the performance. All in all I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone with a shakey camper. Good luck and happy rving.

No matter how careful I was getting out of the camper to have dad time in the morning the wobbling of the camper would always wake up my two boys. Since installing this system it is like the other reviewer said, almost like a block foundation. It does take some time and patience to install but well worth it. Just make sure everyone knows to loosen before adjusting jacks and to tighten before driving down the road.

A few years ago a switched from a Class A with hydraulic leveling jacks to a 5th wheel with the normal electric levelers on the front and scissor jacks to the rear. I love having the fifth wheel, but have missed the stability that hydraulic jacks offered, I finally installed these and am amazed with how well they work. The RV used to rock when someone turned over in bed and now there is barely any movement when moving about the RV. I recommend this to anybody that has shake, wobble and roll issues. Installation was easy and took me a few hours. I took my time as drilling was involved and wanted to make sure I did everything right the first time. I did have to move my spare tire back a couple of inches because the front two arms where going to hit it.

    Strut stabilizer system

I bought this stabilizer system after seeing it on a few other 5th wheels. I wasn't to sure at first how well they would work. I am very pleased at how much shake and wobble it takes out of my 5th wheel( its 34ft). There is still some movement but is very exceptable now. Installation is not bad if you have good tools and sharp drill bits. There is a lot of drilling required. This is a great product and wish I would have purchased it last year.

Installation is not difficult just take your time and follow the directions. Using these in conjunction with slide jacks will make your unit feel almost like it is sitting on a block foundation.

I am kicking myself for not buying this over two years ago.Being a full-timer, I was ready to sell my RV and move into a motel. With 3 people in a 30 ft travel trailer, motion isconstant and nerve racking. I was skeptical that this system could do what it said. After reading the reviews on thissite I decided I had to take a chance or like I said earlier get a motel room. I happened to catch them on an online special for $259.99 so I jumped on it. They arrived and I went through the parts list and found some hardware was missing. I called the customer service number listed in the instructions and a real person answered the phone. She was extremely friendly and apologetic for the inconvenience. I gave her the list of missing parts and I got them in two days just as she had promised. I couldn't wait to try them out so the next day I started installation when I got home from work. It took me and a helper about 3 hours, with a good drill and a few wrenches, to install the system on my RV. That night I was blown away with the difference. Don't get me wrong. If you flop down on the couch or stomp up the stairs you will still feel vibration, but you will not feel the after shocks that come afterwords. As stated by others I would say that 95% of the motion has been ELIMINATED. In my opinion this is an awesome product. Although they are a little pricey, to me they were worth every penny.

I looked high and low, spoke to many people, tried just the tire locking chocks...to no avail. These struts when properly installed have stopped 75% of the movement. I also added the slideout stabilizers to the mix on my 30ft Sunset Trail and I'm a happy camper now. If you need to stop the "ship" from swaying, run out and buy these, they're well worth the investment.

Had these for 2 years now. I don't know why the previous review was so negative, but this is the greatest thing ever to eliminate ... or at least greatly reduce ... movement of the trailer. I had Camping World install them and have been nothing less than delighted. My wife is a light sleeper & always goes to bed before me. She would be awakened every time I moved or took the dog out for a walk. These have stopped about 95% of the movement and maybe saved my marriage. :-) If the campground has a level concrete pad, my 30' travel trailer is as sturdy as a moble home. But even on a site that is not level there is a tremendous improvement. If I bought a new camper today, I would install these on the new unit tomorrow. They are that good.

A few years ago, saw something very similar, but a lot more expensive, had to give this a try. Glad I did, self install goes well, but read the instructions thoroughly. The side to side and fore/aft sway is almost completely eliminated, this product is well worth the investment.

Finally we can get rid of the sea sick meds we used because our trailer felt like being in a small row boat on the high seas. These provide an almost rock solid support of our trailer. In fact, we are spreading the news about these in every campground we're in. Most excellent product!

    Great System

    May 25, 2009
This strut stabilizer system works great! I am more than pleased with it, The only shortcoming is that the instructions stink. Attach the tube to the jack foot first, then raise the jack completely, collapse the tube then extend one inch and tighten "T" handle, put the other bracket on and find the place to mount it to the frame, mark and drill, pilot hole first then the big one. If you can't access the top of the frame and use the self tapping bolts you need an impact wrench to drive them, if you don't have access to one then buy a tap and the correct drill and tap the holes first, you will never be able to hand drive them with a wrench. Use fat washers on both sides of every moving joint where possible. Remember to LOOSEN the "T" handles before you ever move the Jacks, up or down. Test your jack travel after mounting on each jack to be sure you are clearing everything. Now the most important step, go back over every single bolt (with "T" handles loose) and tighten the "self locking nuts" (the ones with the plastic inserts) until each joint just barely will move when the jacks are run up or down. If you used the sqaure "V" shaped frame brackets you need to do the inside nut before you put it on or use an open end "flare nut" 11/16" to reach in and tighten them. Any lost motion in any joint will transmit into shake in the RV. The instructions have a few pictures but not enough common sense directions, they mean for you to put it on this way but don't make it clear, don't worry about extra parts as the kit fits either a travel trailer or a fifth wheel and there are parts left for the opposite one. I put two on each front jack and one on each rear jack on a 30 foot Holiday trailer and it was perfect. If the "shakes" bother you this will cure it.

Had Camping World install the stabilizer System on my 33 foot Everest 5th wheel. The system probably removed 97 % of the rocking that we experienced. It is nice to have the coach solid when walking around. Highly recommended if you have alot of rocking when moving around inside your coach.

This product works very well. I have a 30 foot 5th wheel and it took all the rocking out. The only thing you need to know is that if your 5th wheel jacks( up front) are less than 58 between them, you need to call the company and they will send you shorter stabilizing rods for the front ( free). I am real handy doing things and was not hard to install. Happy camping.

Awesome. I have tried a number of things to stabilize my fifth wheel. No one thing or combination of products ever seemed to work well. The Eliminator Strut system did the trick. I don't know if anything can ever totally stop movement, but I really don't sense any movement with this system. Installation was fairly easy, and took just a couple of hours. My fifth wheel is slightly narrower than most and I had to call the manufacturer to make arrangements for slightly shorter stabilizers on the front. The proper length tubes were sent out immediately at no charge and arrived within a few days. The only thing I did not like were the self-tapping bolts which are required only if you have a box frame. Rather than use those bolts to cut threads, I would recommend that the holes be manually tapped. It only takes a couple of extra minutes and you won't end up with stripped holes. They got this one right!!!

After installing the stabilizers the difference was remarkable. No more feeling like you were on a boat instead of in a camper when someone got up in the middle of the night! I have to agree with the other reviewer in that the instructions were a bit at times confusing, but overall it was pretty straight forward. In this case I would recommend reading through the entire installation before starting. Everyone's RV frame setup is somewhat different but the Eliminator system is very adaptable.

The instructions sucked and the bolt heads were all different sizes. That aside the install is pretty straight forward and it takes a couple minutes more to get setup. BUT IT'S WORTH IT! We were in the desert this weekend and the wind was howling, not a bit of movement in our 30' fifth wheel toy hauler. These really work.

I just got back from my first trip with these installed on my TT. I have three kids who jump all over the place and in the past would make my trailer shake like a freight train, Not now . The Eliminator struts work wonders. While on this trip we had 50 mph winds and could hardly feel the trailer move. I talked to some other campers while on this trip, who asked me what those bars were under my trailer,I told them all about them and where to get some, THESE THINGS WORK.

I was always irritated by the movement in my 5th wheel so I took a chance on this new product. Man, what a difference. You're never going to get all the movement out of a RV as long as it sits on tires, but I would have to say this system gets rid of approximately 75% of it. Installation time should be a little over 2 hours if you are prepared. Overall, I would say this was money well spend.

I was tired of having my fifth wheel move every time the kids got up or a stiff wind would blow. I got a set of these after a buddy made something similar. He said it would eliminate any rocking side to side and front to back. After a fairly easy install (3.5 hours with 2 people ) I gave them a shot. Like a rock! We stayed in the trailer last weekend and I never mentioned them to my wife. She never felt the kids get out of bed till they were next to our bed. I get better at setting them up everytime I do it. Set up is fast and simple just have to figure out what works best for you. Product assistance over the phone was great, I have a slide tray in the rear and they guided me on the placement for the rear arms. If you like a solid feel when in your rig I deffinately suggest a set of Eliminators.
