This ingenious tank is in a class by itself. Completely self-contained so there are no required accessories to buy or parts to store. Each model has up to 20 percent more capacity than competitive models for fewer fill-ups - saving time and effort.

This tank works great! Everything you need is attached to the tank & ready to use. Others you need to carry hoses & caps and I love the automatic shut off feature. Imagine your tank fills up and you still have a hose full of sewage! Disgusting!! This one fills & drains quickly and is easy to pull by hand or tow with your vehicle to the dump station. Sure beats having to hook up the trailer & drive to the dump site & return &unhook. Love it!

The 27 gallon tank is not as easy to use as I expected. Draining the tank was a bit messy and the sewer fill/drain hose is partially secured with a soft rubber band that I suspect will go brittle fairly soon here in the CA desert. The air pressure relief / rinse adapter came out of the tank when I used a hose to rinse the tank after use and It was difficult to reinstall.

The tank appears to be great compared to the old one we now have. The only problem being the lousy packaging from Thetford. Alittle bit of styrofoam in one end of the box would make aworld of difference. Even the returns were easy to handle thru Camping World.

Took a little getting used to, but does the job. Definitely beats driving around to the dump station periodically. Auto shutoff can be a little late.. Went for a larger one and 4 wheels. Good choices.

Thetford Smart tote is the first holding tank we ever owned. We are very happy with it . we would buy this brand again. The only problem is the elastic strap that goes over the hose to the tank falls down when traveling if you're not careful you'll drag a hole through the hose. when draining the tank out the end oh the hose doesn't always fit in where you want to dump it.

Camping for longer than a weekend, we use more than our tanks can hold, With the Thetford SmartTote LX we were able to empty our grey water tank and tow it to the dump station. It's easy to use, and attach to our hitch. We followed the directions and stayed at 5 mph towing to the dump station without any problems. Great addition to our camper!

Great Tank, rolls easy. Only one problem, the cap, or plug, on the end of the hose is not easy to find to replace if you loose the orignal. I let the orignal go down the hole at the dump station and could not find another one without driving 3 1/2 hours. Other than that , this is a great product.

the wheels wore out had to be replaced after 2 yrs. did not want the same wheels. Was not abused other than rough road. needs tougher wheels.

SMART TOTE WAS A LIFE SAVER FOR US WITH THE GRAND KIDS FOR A WEEK AT A PARK THAT HAD NO SEWER, PURCHASED THE 27 GAL. TOTE AND WAS REALLY PLEASED WITH IT. THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO WAY TO CAMP FOR AWEEK WITH A 5 AND 4 YEAR OLD WITH OUT IT. JUST EMPTY BLACK AND GREY, HOOK IT UP TO THE PICUP AND TOW IT TO THE DUMP STATION, MAKE SURE YOU GET THE 4 WHEELER.

I have used my SmartTote several times and loaned it out to friends too. Everyone thinks it's a great product and have not had any problems using it. Very easy to attach to holding tanks and empty them. Love the auto shut off feature so you don't have to worry about overfilling. One small complaint is I wish the vent was bigger so it would empty more rapidly, but it's not too bad. Good product!

So far the latch has unlatched at least twice, destroying the original hose and a replacement hose. The mfr. does NOT sell a replacement hose. I will NEVER buy this model again. I'd rather deal with attaching the hose each time.
