Wing nut accommodates a variety of wire leads. Eliminates battery drain and prevents shorts and electrical fires. Also protects against vehicle theft. Rugged brass and copper construction. Compatible with 6, 12 or 24 volt systems. Rated at 700 amps. USA. NOTE: NOT FOR MARINE USE.
This switch is a well built, beefy item that will last for years. However, it will not fit on a battery used in a battery box rega...rdless of group size- the lid on the battery box does not have adequate room underneath. I tried several ways to mount it, but to no avail. If used in a TT, or larger motorhome with a seperate battery compartment (rather than a
battery box), it will work well.
The currently installed negative terminal cable is removed from the battery. The 'open' ring side of the disconnect switch is mounted to the battery post. Then the terminal cable is mounted to the wingnut post on the switch.
