I ordered 2 for black and the grey tank. I installed them, it was easy. I bought PCV and I hard piped it from the tank along the Drain pipe and tied them together, and isolated them with a valve for each tank, placed a Quick disconnect on it and I can do it and see it through my flush king all at the drain sight. I can hear them run and see what is coming out. Nice idea and I improved the product even further.

Does the job very well without dragging the hose inside

I really love this tank rinser. It was pretty easy to install. I just wish I didn't have a cross member in the way. Which prevented me from installing across from the tank outlet. But the installation went as expected.

This is my second time to purchase and install one of these. As before it does the job better than anything else. I have tried the wand that connects to the sink and it is pretty much worthless. I plan on getting one for my gray tank in the near future. It was a little more challenging to install on my current RV because it has underpinning, but that was my problem. I got it installed and it works great.

Tornado permanent tank rinser

The tornado is better than having to use a wand and drag a hose through my travel trailer all the time. It makes cleaning the black tank easier and more convenient since the remote hook up is right next to my black tank flush valve. I had it professionally installed because of the in-closed under belly of my travel trailer. I would recommend the tornado to anyone who wants an easier way to clean their black holding tank.

Easier than using a wand

The tornado is much better than using a wand to clean the black tank. Installation is a lot off work, especially if you have an enclosed under belly and the tank is up between the frame. The hose could be a little longer. I added a 4' hose to the one included so it would reach to the dump side of the camper. It cleans the tank well when dumping. You just have to let it run for at least 5 minutes to get a good flush. I would buy it again.

This is the second one I have installed. I have Three Rvs and may replace the other brand with one of these as they work so much better. I use a maserator and need to have a good rinse each dump.

Tomado Permanent Tank Rinser

Just took my first trip after installing the Tomado Permanent Tank Rinser with Remote Connection on the black water holding tank of my travel trailer. It works as good or better than advertised. Don't know why I didn't do this sooner. It is well worth the money. I plan on getting another one for my grey water tank and connecting them together to the remote connection using a Y connector with valves. They should tell you that you need a 1.5 inch door knob bit for drilling the hole in you holding tank. I happen to have one, but not everyone will. Installation went very smoothly.

Get the remote connection hose

Install was pretty simple and basic. Used it this past weekend after a camping trip and was amazed at the amount it cleaned and forced out. My only fear would be while driving any large amount of fluid slooshing around the tank may damage the nozzle assembly, but other then that it sure does beat dragging a hose into the camper. !!

This thing ROCKS! I installed it late last camping season, and used it once, was pretty impressed. Just got back from a long weekend, used it today....MAN, is this thing cool. Makes one of the nasty parts of camping, not so bad at all. I had 2 relatives who saw it work, both are sold, GREAT ITEM!

installed mine 2 years ago, with the remote hookup. the unit works great, you have to drain the tank before use, then don't turn on the water at full pressure, turn it on till you hear the unit working. it does it's job very well.

I combined the installation of two Tornado Permanent Tank Rinsers (black & grey tanks) using a Walmart garden hose manifold and the forced pumping action of the Sewer Solution to provide a thorough flush with the speed (almost) of an Indianapolis tire change. Other owners at the dump sites that I used were amazed at the efficiency and cleanliness of an otherwise nasty task. Never seen so many guys gaga about flushing poop! I highly recommend this item. I had no problem with the installation or the function of either Tornado Rinser. Installation instructions are clear and should be straight forward for the average do-it- yourselfer. My only concern is for Canadian customers who pay the high FedEX brokerage fee because Camping World won't consider using another shipping method.

I thought I kept my black water tank pretty clean, but I was amazed at the gunk that came out the first time I used the Tornado! Wow! Installation was fairly easy, but you need to take your time and understand the directions very well. I do have a very small drip where the remote hose connects to the rinse head. I will remedy this with a rubber garden hose washer and some pipe tape. Easy.

Great concept - poor quality

I installed Tornado Rinsers in my gray and black water tanks in the basement of my class A. Access to the tanks was difficult so it was my hope that the rinsers would be trouble free. After several months of great flushing performance, the hose blew off the end of the fitting on the gray water tank rinser inside the basement. I thought it was my fault for not tightening the hose clamp enough, etc., so I tore open the basement again and fixed it. Two flushes later - same problem. I ended up replacing the hoses and fittings that came with the Tornado (appear to be the same fittings as the Quickie Flush). I would recommend better quality hoses or real brass fittings if your tank is hard to get to. I also noticed after a year of use, my black water tank rinser is not spinning like it used to but it will have to wait until I have the basement open again for something else.

I purchaced one of these. It was easily installed and very easy to use. Saves time and effort at dump stations. No dragging a hose into the bathroom. I usually connect a fresh water hose to it at the same time I connect the drain hose and just turn on the water to rinse the tank right after dumping.

Get ready for leaks!!! But, they do work.

I installed a Tornado in my black water tank and a Quickie flush in my gray water tank. When i fired them up.......both leaked. I would recommend that you understand how everything couples together and actually test the units before you ever put them in the tank. By all means test them before you button everything back up, especially if you have and enclose belly on your RV. BTW......the backflow valve on the Tornado trickles a little bit after you turn off the water. The Tornado comes with stainless screws while the Quickie flush comes with zinc coated screws. Honestly, for $25-$30, I was a bit disappointed in the design of both. Hope they work well after I get the belly pan all back in place on my fifth wheel.

The Rinser with Remote does the job no doubt about it. But it back drained through the Remote hose. I will return to Dixie RV Hammond, where it was installed and have it fixed. Not a major problem.

Tips on installation of Tornado Tank Rinser

December 30, 2006
I purchased two tank rinsers, one for the black tank and one for the gray tank. When I installed the units and fired up the black tank unit, I had water squirting out of the backflow preventer. Went all over the compartment. I took bothbackflow preventers off and found small pieces of debris on the rubber seals. Used a hose nozzle and squirted the backflows both directions with water to clean. Reinstalled and had no leaks. However, one unit was spinning inside the tank and one was not . Took the one not spinning off and found I had gotten some of the silicone sealer on the head. Cleaned that off, reinstalled and it worked fine. Ran both units for 5 minutes. This is the first time my level sensors have worked correctly for years. Both had one light only. My take on the unit is, be careful when installing and they are great.

I purchased the Tornado this year, and can not believe how much extra black water you get out that normal does not come out with a normal flush. I let it run about 5 - 10 minutes (until clear water comes out). Good investment. I have read the reviews for the Quickie Flush and can not determined which is best. They seem the same to me. I for one have had no problems with the Tornado.

I installed mine after a month in my new 2007 camper. I rinse and rinse my tank before we leave the site thinking I got everything out. However, I ran the Tornado this weekend and got so much more stuff out of the tank after I dumped that I could not believe it. I could not believe how much RV toilet paper came out after all my previous dumps. It was easy to install and the price was well worth it.

Cool thing about this is when there is a line at the dump station behind you, youi take no more time by really cleaning your black water tank. Hook up the water hose to it, open the black tank discharge valve, turn on the water, and you will be amazed as to what is in the tank that you normally can't get out.

Tornado Tank Riser

This product works great and it really cleans out the waste tank. I was a little nervous about drilling a hole into my tank but, the provided template worked great for providing the correct hole location. The instructions say to install it opposite the tank sensors but I could not access that location so I put it on the sensor side. I was amazed at the amount of "stuff" that came out while the Tornado was running. You can hear the high whine of the water jets running. It was easy to install and I am pleased with the performance highly recommend this product.
