Air leeks

I bought four of the 135 deg. valve extenders to support the Tire Pressure sensors. They all leaked air between the monitor and the extender and were not usuable. Be sure to use all steel stems and extenders and do not use the recommended extenders here. TST system works well.

Purchased at Camping World in Tampa. Great product, outstanding customer service. If you have questions, call the manufacturer direct and don't be surprised if the owner calls you back and personally assists you with any issues. He did when we had questions and that was very impressive. Would not be on the road without it and Camping World install and replacement plan is great.

TST tire pressure monitor

You need to plan ahead as to how you want to mount the tire sensors. The fronts are easy, inside duels have a valve extender on most RV's so they are easy. The outside duels can be a problem. I had a tire shop remove the outside duels, add the 135 degree valve extenders and the system works fine. It is a little problem to remove the sensors and fill the tire but it is far better to know your air pressure at all times.

Easy Instalation

I am giving one star beacause the system has not been installed at this point. I have a Class A Motor Home with dual rear wheels. My problem is that I can't get to the tire air valves in order to screw on the sensors. On the front wheels, the air valve lines up with the hub cap hole, but is too short to get my fingers in to screw on the sensors. I will need a valve extender, which will compromise the anti-theft feature. The valve on the inside rear dual is ok, since it came with valve extender, but unfortunatley is long enough to again compromise the anti theft feature. On the outside dual, the valve is horizontal to the hole in the hub cap so I will need a 90 degree valve extender And I'm not sure if I can get my fingers close enough to the valve to screw on the extendor. The wheel may have to come off to straighten the valve. With the "easy to install" statement in the advertising, I didn't think I would have to take the Motor Home to a Camping World to have the system installed (150 miles round trip, and more $). I feel TST should point out these potential problems in thier advertisments so the purchaser is more aware of what additional items may be needed.. Additionally. This is only stated in the instruction manual (which is read after purchase). If you have to take the hub cap off, be sure they are not bolted on. I'm used to hub caps that "pop" off and now have one that is bent up. I'll report again when the system is fully installed.

TST Tire Pressure Monitor System

May 16, 2009
We have had the TST tire pressure monitor system (TPMS) installed and in use for 1-year now as a full-time RVer on a 40' motor home with vehicle in tow (10-tires). Therefore, we have logged many miles and hours of continuous use on our system displaying not only pressure but also temperature of each tire. The easy setup (manual sensor code programming or automatic setting) and ability to set each tire to different pressure and temperatures for visual and audio alerts is a very nice custom feature. The monitor comes with two different antennas for a custom installation; 6-7’ external for remote positioning and a short side mounted 3” antenna. With our window configuration of the motor home, it was necessary to add the ‘repeater’ at the rear of the motor home to maintain continuous TPMS signal reception. Each installation will be different and you may not require the repeater although it can be added at anytime if any sensor signal drops from the display. If your towed vehicle is not equipped with a factory TPMS, you can easily take the display-monitor from the motor home with you when the motor home is not in use and enjoy the safety of monitoring your passenger vehicles tires. Since our system is always ON, we know the status of each tire without the ‘necessary’ inconvenience of checking each tire with a gauge. Recently while in route, we were alerted of a low pressure situation and were able to service the tire before we had a possible catastrophic failure and body damage which seems to always occur. In this case, the TST-TPMS paid back the purchase price plus time spent in a repair shop which has been known to run into the thousands of dollars for repairs! We can all check our tire pressure before each trip for safety but what will happen to our tires while we are driving? From our experience, the TST-TPMS is a strongly recommended product for reliability and safety provided in early warning of an impending tire problem.

Used it over a year

I purchased this system a year ago before Camping World carried it and am completely satisfied with how the system works. It works on battery for several days so I can charge my phone or use the gps and not need a third accessory plug in. It took two months of Mexico, Belize and Guatemala roads and kept on reporting the pressures and temperatures for the 9k trip. i would recommend this product.
