This is a follow up to my post concerning reception in the rain. I was contacted by one of the owners at Truck Systems Technologies and we had a long discussion concerning poor reception. It was recommended due to the make up of my vehicle that I should have a booster installed. I ordered it. I was also sent a replacement sensor for the one that had failed. Both items arrived within 5 days. This company is concerned when a customer has a problem. It is much more than I ever got from a previous company I had purchased tire sensors from. Thanks for the assist.

I purchased this system during the 2014 Christmas sale in anticipation for taking my 5th wheel to Vermont (820 miles). I installed the system on a Friday in April. It seemed to work fine. On Tuesday, we left for Vermont. The first sensor failed within 5 miles. All had failed by 10 miles.
    Pros: Easy to install

The idea of knowing tire pressures and temperatures while on the road is comforting from a safety stand point. However, it is very annoying when the alarm keeps going off because the transmitters are intermittent. Like crying wolf, not knowing is it a real alarm or is it just the transmitter not working.
Pros: Comforting to have, Must know tire info
    Cons: Tire inducers are intermittent

    Failed while raining

    July 18, 2015
Installation was easy including setting temperature and pressure parameters. However, soon after it began raining while traveling, the signal began failing to be received from the travel trailer tires and the monitor began beeping each time it attempted to get a reading. I turned the unit off in hopes that it would reset. However, once I turned it back on, the signal was lost from all 4 tires. I made a rest stop when the rain stopped and the signal was received again on 3 out of 4 tires. I do not understand why the signal transmission failed during periods of rain. I do not keep the sensors installed on a permanent basis while in storage, only when traveling.
Pros: Easy to install, Works well once installed
    Cons: Failed in the rain

    Frozen Sensors

If you leave the sensors on too long they will become frozen to the valve stems and will not come off, causing you to have to replace the valve stems and the sensors if you want to continue using the TST system.
Pros: Easy to install, Works well once installed

I installed the 510 system on my 37 foot motor home with 6 wheels and purchased 2 more sensor kits for my towed car. The monitor picked up all 10 wheels (maximum of 22 wheels) using the stubbly antenna on the receiver. It even picked up the car sensors while parked in the driveway and the MH was beside the house. I would have preferred flow-through sensors, but I don't believe they are available for the 510 model.

Thanks to video's on YouTube and Manufacturers web site, installation took only minutes without flaws. Need more time to evaluate performance but surely worth it's weight in gold as it applies to peace of mind.

I've being using this pressure monitoring system for a month now. I’m using it on my 2009 F150 and 2010 Passport 290BH. Setup is easy. I did not need repeater. I had one pressure monitor that was leaking air. TST replaced it and everything is working fine. The only issue with the system is that it does not appear to work in the rain. This is not a big deal for me but this is the reason I gave this product 4 stars and not 5. Overall, I’m happy with the product and would recommend it.

    My System Saved Me!

The sensors are only 1 inch in diameter and one inch deep. My sensors are sealed within a metal cylinder and are completely water tight and very durable... Not a toy for sure! It was very easy to install, and I had a belt break on one of my tires... No change in PSI, however, the tire expanded and heated up. I got a high heat alarm (while PSI remained the same)... Had I not gotten an alarm, we would have had a blow out and substantial damage to our fifth wheel. We will NEVER travel again without our TST system! We highly recommend this system. We had a couple of minor questions during installation, called the company, and were helped quickly and professionally. GREAT PRODUCT!!

the sensors are HUGE. I really wish they would have worked for me, as the whole setup looked high quality. Alas, the large size of the individual wheel sensors would not fit on my Itasca Navion.
