Another use for this unit

I bought this unit to extend my gray water line which was set well under the coach. This unit brought it close to the side so now it is accessible without getting on my knees. It works great. I did have to put a screw behind one of the ears so the unit wouldn't come off when I twisted the sewer hose off. Very smooth operation.

About a month of so ago, I took my camper up to our regular camp site. While backing in to level up, I pulled onto long boards with the tires sinking in the wet ground. The boards lifted up and broke the black water valve handle off and bent the gray water valve. I got it and the other valves on the 23rd so I used the twist on valve until the holiday weekend was over. It worked great and I installed the new black water valve the next week.

This valve went on easy, you can have the blade handle to the sides as well as up, it will add about 5 (extension) to the sewer connection. I have had it on about two weeks but have not moved the trailer, no leaking. I plan to leave it on permanently, the 5 extension is just what I needed as the trailer sewer connection is about 9'' from the side of trailer.

Ideal setup, close to sewer connection, works great if your tank valves are leaking and also allows you to stop filling portable tank without more waste coming from the holding tanks.

I had one for 2 seasons & it worked great with my main valve leaking. But now 2 of the 4 mounting clips broke off. I am still going to try it again & buy another one. Cheaper than fixing a main valve that leaks!

Great item well worth money. Keeps black water and grey tanks from leaking due to excess in pipes from coming out when taking off cap when dumping. Also great backup system if your system seems to leak.

Buy it even if you don't have a leak

This summer we went to Georgia and just getting into Texas we had a major BLACK water leak. I remembered seeing this in a Camping World ad and called them in Dallas,TX, Fort Worth was out of stock. It saved us from an expensive repair on the road ($500 plus). I repaired the undercarriage cable operated valve when we got home but won't forget this valve.

We had a leaking grey water valve. While researching how to fix it I saw the suggestion to just put on this twist valve. What a life saver! Piece of cake to install and no more leaks until we could get it fixed. Unfortunately it did cause us to hit it when leaving our driveway because of where it fits on our RV and the steepness of the driveway but I still will carry it with us just in case we develop another leak on the road.

When we took our new fifth wheel out, I was surprised when I opened the cap before opening any of the three valves. I was met with a rush of gray water! I bought this valve connector and problem solved. No more leaks.

Recommended by fellow camper when he saw the water leak out when I removed the waste water cap at dump station. Bought one that day at Camping World in Gulf Breeze, FL. Works as advertised. No more leaks when the waste water cap is removed. I would highly recommend this product. Very satisfied.

I put off getting this product as I kept telling myself "it's only a small leak from the grey tank valve". Well I got the twist on valve and wow wish I had it last year. It works smooth and is very sturdy. It will make hook ups easier as I won't have liquids pouring out as I remove the end cap. Mine was only the grey but that would be a nightmare if it was the black tank. I am very happy with this product and now I will not have to replace the tank valve. One last note to anyone concerned it did not effect ground clearence at all.

Sir; This is not a review but, rather a question? I need a twist on value like your cata. item # 27868. My question is how do I attach my sewer drain hose onto the valve when I'm dumping my tanks. Please respond. [email protected]

Wouldn't you end up with a nice sewer smell coming from your kitchen sink using the previous poster's advice. I don't think this is what it was intended for but nice try.

Consider this. If your holding tanks, gray and black, are like most, both empty through one hose connection. When camping without a sewer hookup, my gray tank fills long before the black tank. By adding this valve in place of the sewer cap, you may open the gray tank into the black tank, by opening both gray and black tank valves, dramatically increasing the waste holding capacity for gray water. When going to the dump station, connect the sewer hose as normal to this additional valve and open it to empty your tanks as normal. You will also probably find the extra gray water in the black tank also results in a more through clean out of the black tank waste and fewer trips to the dump station when camping without hookups. Good Luck

Easy solution to a nasty problem

The grey water valve pull/push cable makes a 180 degree loop in my Model HD Rialta making good closure almost impossible. The installation of this valve cured the problem. As far as installation goes, it took longer to open the box than it did to install the valve. My kind of work!!
