Ultra Guard - 94W x 16H for Motorhomes

Installed this along with the angle iron and the Stainless Steel Trim Kit for the Ultra Guard. It was fairly easy even though I needed to fabricate a bracket so I could mount everything to the frame. Works very well and looks very nice. When I had to take my home to the dealer a couple of weeks ago for some warranty work, the Service Department commented very positively, even asking where I bought it. Of course I said Camping World.

Missing Hardware

Received Ultra Guard 00016 94 x 16 in good shape. The problem lies with the hardware not complete. Missing was 1 - 1/4-20x1 hex head bolt. The package did have an extra 1/4 flat washer. Otherwise the guard was installed as instructed.

BOUGHT THE PRE-DRILLED ANGLE IRON AND GLAD I DID. WOULD HAVE BEEN A HASSLE TRYING TO MAKE MY OWN. I DID ADD 2 BRACKETS JUST FOR ADDITIONAL STRENGTH AND HAD THEM WELDED TO THE RIG.

Was easy to install after purchasing the angle iron that goes with it. Keeps the back of the coach cleaner and doesn't kick up the rocks like before.

Ultraguard Install

I really liked the look and quality of the Ultra guard. I bought the Angle iron install kit and could not have installed this item without it. I have a 99 Winebago Adventurer. If you are not handy and don't have plenty of tools and time I wouldn't recommend trying to install this yourself.

Pay to Have It Installed

Don't forget that the mounting steel angle for this is another $25! I installed mine myself...but wish I had paid Camping World to do it. It's a 2-man job also. Don't try this by yourself. I had to cut about 6 inches off the top of the 16 inch model to get 3 to 4 inch road clearance. Now the steel angle is rusted and looks awful.....use stainless or aluminum if looks bother you. Finally, out of the eight bolts I used to put it on with, two of them have now split the rubber out to the top edge (guess the roadway pushed the mudflap up as I drove) Overall, I give it only 3 stars....4 if you will have it professionally installed.

Ultra Guard

I just got my Ultra Guard and installed it myself. It's a little hard to cut with a utility knife so I used a jig saw with a semi course blade. You have to use a guide and cut it slow but not so hard on the hands. The edge will be up out of site if you make a boo boo.

Great Mounting Options (workhorse )

Buying the complete package was a great move. However I feel the mounting bracket should be included. With the bracket, splashguard and the stainless lift guard it is a nice package. The mounting on the W22 Workhorse was easy to say the least. On the rear frame forward of the spare tire two holes are already pre-drilled just measure and drill the bracket. You can also mount it with a swivel system using quick links. I choose the frame mount using two 3/8 stainless bolts.. Looks Great!

TRY INSTALLING ON A TRACK WITH A STOP BOLT AT EACH END... THIS WAY IT CAN BE REMOVED WHEN NOT TOWING.. USED THE TRACK SYSTEM INSTEAD OF THE ANGLED STEEL ..OFFER BOTH LET THE OWNER CHOSE AS HE OR SHE WILL..
