I think this unit should have a heavier center post I will find out when I use it on my first trip. I gave it a four because it is untried if it works the way it is supposed to it will deserve a five.

I like the cargo carrier. It serves the purpose for which I bought it and I've used it a lot. Yet it
rusts very quickly. Too, it isn't as sturdy as I had expected. It fits in the hitch fine, but there is
a lot of play and I can tip it from side to side. Still, I can tie my bike to it and add a cooler so
it is doing exactly what I want it to do and no problems with it.

This is great quality, heavy duty, and a great price. When I had a 5th wheel hitch installed in the bed of my truck, I didn't take into account the loss of cargo space. The added benefit is that gas cans no longer have to leak in the truck's bed!

I'm a 62 year old woman and I put this thing together myself
in about 1.5 hours. You'll need a wrench to tighten the
bolts. I love it! What a great price too - see the bike
rack that goes with it. I'm much happier with this than a
bike rack that fits into my hitch because this is so much
more versatile!

Purchased more than three years ago. Have a locking tool box which carries all the patio carpets, dog stuff, and outside items one does not want in the motorhome. It has been wonderful and I am 72, and it was easy to install.
Does need two people to lift into the hitch, but that is a one-time deal. (I left it on permanently.) Bought one as a
gift for a relative and they love it too. Will probably buy one for my pickup now that I sold my utility trailer. Highly recommend.

It is a pain to assemble. Two people makes the job a lot easier. I put this on my camper and sit two rubbermaid totes and a cooler on it. Increased my storage a ton. I bought the four inch square tube adapter for the bumper of my camper.

I carry a 4000W Generator, Ice Chest, BBQ and other items on my cargo carrier and it is just as described. It has greatly expanded the cargo carrying capacity of my 1977 American Clipper Motorhome. I am very pleased with the purchase and am considering buying a second one for the back of my Jeep.
