This is a easy install. I found nothing wrong with the instructions. I would not consider myself a mechanic. The only tools needed to install this ladder were, Drill, ( drilling and as a screw gun)and a hacksaw (I used a sawsall ). I used some big washers to cover up the old holes from the old ladder. It looks great. the thing I did not like was, the holes that were predrilled, were not straight through. (which I fixed). I completely disagree with the above review. I guess us guys who sit behind a computer all day, take a different approach to things.
