I started setup, got to the download info part, and it would not download I called the tech support number and they said I had to... hook it up to a permit satellite dish like on a house. I told them I did not have one and had no access to one. We went round and round then finally they said it was the only thing I could do, so I asked if I got another one would if it work. They said probably not, so I got another brand.
This unit works great, first time set up does take a long time though. Downloading sfw update takes a while, but once it finished ...no issues. I replaced my leased 211k with a 211z which this replaced. I have 2 TVs working off of pathway x1 mounted on roof. The 211 is main in living area and this wally I put in bedroom and take outside as well works great. It finds satellites quickly and gets going quickly. It has been great these past 4 weeks. The new guide and interface/menus are great. I am ordering another and will keep it as backup.
I bought it for our camper and it would not set up past step 6 downloads. It would not set up on our home satellite either. After ...11hrs of fussing with it and numerous phone calls. I was told by tech support that there was a problem with it and the fix wasn't coming out the next month. But if it won't set up how can you install the download to fix it?
Yes, a power cord for the receiver is included.
