This mattress topper is pricey but worth it. Wool is great for dissipating heat in summer and retaining it in winter. It does what it 's supposed to do. The topper is well constructed and substantial, it should last for many years. I don’t use this for camping, it is on top of a latex mattress at home. I haven’t tried to wash it yet but it appears that it will hold up. I’m of the opinion that many of us do not pay enough attention to what we sleep on considering how many hours we spend in bed. A worthwhile purchase for me.
