Description

DOMETIC CORP 413
Extend your awning effortlessly, at the touch of a button.
Designed to out-think the elements, the Dometic WeatherPro power awning provides superior performance and great looks. To prevent damage to the awning or coach, a wind sensor closes the awning automatically when it detects high, sustained winds.

The exclusive Knee Action Design allows the awning to automatically flex in moderate wind, avoiding nuisance retractions. In the event of rain, a unique spring arm mechanism automatically flexes to release accumulating water away from the door. This brings a clean, level, maintenance-free appearance to your RV.

Special hardware is available for mounting the awning over slideouts and on 5th wheels.

  • Available in double-sided vinyl or woven acrylic fabric
  • Wide selection of popular colors and patterns
  • Hand-held wireless remote control extends and retracts the awning quickly and easily
  • No locks or travel latches required
  • Unique spring-arm mechanism automatically dumps accumulating rain water
  • Fits all straight hardware applications
  • Complete with metal wrapped weathershield and choice of 4 hardware colors

We purchased our fifth wheel in 2005. The weatherpro awning has two gas struts which have leaks. Dometic are not able to supply us with replacement struts and the specicifations for the struts are unlike any others commonly used. The lack of replacement parts hinders the use of the awnings opening without manual assistance.

I was having trouble with the awning that came on my motor home. I had camping world of Oxford, Alabama install the weatherpro patio awning in October of 2007. So far I have had no problem with it mechanism. Have really been pleased with my new awning.

So far it works well. I purchased the M/H from folks that had it installed by Camping World Sept 06. It will retract in the wind and being in So Cal we get the wind here. I have yet to try it with rain. Its a bit expensive, as they gave me the paper work on it. The motorhome is a 27' and the awning 15' but worth it...just push the button and there it is.

We bought a new 21 foot weatherpro and it works great. We have had no trouble at all. It does everything it says it will do, rolls in when wind gets to high, dumps water during rain and mist. The only thing about it I am not happy with is that I bought the extended five year warranty which pays us back at the end of the time if we have not used it, however it was a great deal, but we traded our RV in about two months after having it installed, so there goes the warranty rebate. Our new RV also has a weatherpro on it, and we have been through several rains here in South Texas and it drains just fine. We bought the first one, and insisted on having one on the new RV because we are sometimes gone all day and do not want to come home and find our awning laying on top of the RV with damage to the Air Conditioners and top vents. As far as the one person saying you can not hang lights or other ornaments on the awning, hang them around the bottom of the trailer or coach, no big problem or drape them along the side, we have seen some nice looking arrangements with the one step and weatherpro awnings.
