Fair weather Grill - July 28, 2008

The Baby Q at best is a Fair weather Grill. After using this Grill for a better part of a year I have come to that conclusion . It dose not have enough BTU's to cook in cool weather or is it able to take any windy conditions . Looking to replace it ..

VERY Disappointed Loyal Weber Man - June 24, 2008

We purchased the Weber Q 100 from Camping World in Robertsdale, AL, just in time for a family camping trip in Gulf Shores. I have a Weber kettle that has lasted for eight years, a Smokey Joe with a wooden handle (have no idea how old), and a Weber Go-Anywhere Gas portable. Have cooked literally thousands of meals with a Weber. I was really looking forward to using the Baby Q, and bought all the accessories to complement it. When it came time to fire up and start cooking, however, this time Weber let me down. I cannot get the thing to light!! I had been cooking from a 20 lb. bottle with an adapter on a single burner, so I know I had gas and everything was working. Won't even light from a match. I called their customer service, who recommended a certain slow procedure for opening the valves, but two tries at this did not work. So, I bought a portable 1 lb cylinder, only to discover that the wire keeper is too small for the bottle. I didn't know there was any other size! At this point, I think I have a bad regulator. Thank goodness I had my old Thermos Grill-To-Go on stand-by, it came through in the clutch. I guess the moral to my story is if you want to buy this grill, check it out at home before taking it on the road, and have a dependable grill on hand just in case.

This grill is the dog! - May 07, 2008

We like this grill so well that we bought a 2nd for use at home. The only problem we've had with both of them is lighting them but I recently found a solution for lighting.....just give it a shot of carb cleaner by the igniter and she fires the first time off.
