Unit worked ok unless you are near a 900 MHZ telephone or other. 6 months after purchase it filled with rain water and could not be used anymore.

I covered the rear lense with a soda bottle top last fall to keep off the salt and sand of winter. I notched the top and bottom of the top edge on the cap with a small file and took a wire strap slipped the strap around the back of the camera, tightened the strap around the cap and cut off the excess. I just removed the cap from the lense and it was just as I left it in the fall.

Wireless Color Back-Up Camera

Picture is very small but in color. The camera lens leaks and fogs up making viewing impossible and the picture scrambles from vehicle interference, at least with my diesel it does. It also has an annoying habit of picking up video from other sources such as Wi-Fi and store surveillance cameras. If the camera can be installed inside the vehicle looking out through glass I suspect it would work fine, other wise I do not recommend this product

No more getting upset when hitching up

for anyone who ever got fustrated with the wife's directions when attempting to hitch up, this is the answer. I glued a magnet to mine and added a trailer plug to the wiring as I only use it for hooking up. I had to laugh when I backed up without assistance and a camper next to me asked how I did it with no one directing me - I said practice. then being the nice guy showed him the wife's replacement. well worth the investment.

Disappointed

I received this as a gift, and I’m pretty happy I didn’t spend my own money on it. It is OK as a tool to help locate the tongue of your trailer over your hitch when you get close, but it is NOT a general purpose rearview monitor. The display screen is way too small to pick up any detail Of course, a bigger screen would had to the cost, but it would be a much better product. The description lists the maximum working distance from camera to monitor is 19 feet. This must be under ideal conditions, and if the camera was 19 feet away from the monitor, I would plan on running a video cable rather than depending on the wireless signal.

Wireless Color Back=Up Camera System

I have been using this system for approimately 2 years now with no problems. I wired the camera to my license plate lamp for power when I turn on my lights. It is only used when I am towing (boat or car) behind the RV for periodic checks. You cannot beat this system for the money, and it only takes 10-15 minutes to install.
