As easy to mount as hanging a picture. Faux textured acrylic shade. Operates over 200 hours on one set of batteries. 3M adhesive hooks recommended for hanging.

The lights are very easy to put up, they are lightweight and classy looking. I agree with the other review, they are larger than I expected. They put out sufficient light to lighten dark corners, but definitely not reading lights. I suggest these for hallways or other areas where you want to add some accent lighting, but would not recommend for a reading chair.
