everyone should have one if not two of these. not only is your camper locked securely in place eliminating any chance of it rollin...g when you unhook, it takes alot of the movement out. i have had one for a couple of months and plan on getting another to make even more stable. very easy to use and seems durable enough to last forever.
These CHOCKS work exactly as advertised and are chimp simple to operate. I use 2 on
my travel trailer and not only do they keep ...your RV in place, but it helps to cut down on
any movement of the trailer while walking around on the inside. Money very well spent.
We are very happy with the X-Chock Tire Locking Chock - it really stabilizes the trailer and makes it so much more
comfortable wh...en moving around. Easy to install, good value for the money. The ratchet wrenches supplied with each
Chock makes installation easy and quick.
I bought a pair of the X-Chock Tire Locking Chocks to use on my 36' travel trailer after using the standard yellow tire chocks for... the past 4 years. I lock in the X-Chocks on my travel trailer before I unhook from my truck and the travel trailer has absolutely no movement once you unhook from the truck. I also noticed that it helps with the sway/movement of the camper when people are walking around in it. It doesn't completely take away the sway/movement but it eliminates a lot of it. I would highly recommend the X-Chock Tire Locking Chocks to anybody who has a tandem axel travel trailer/5th wheel camper.
After years of messing with, dozens, of ways to stableize my 5th wheel(s), I purchased 2 X-chocks.
My Rig is stable, secured and ...I feel much relived of messing with such a simple task.Super easy to put on and Lockable.
I frequently boon dock camp and that means a lot of blocking to level the camper. I had a friend who was not using the X-Chock ha...ve his 30 ft trailer, slide off the lever blocks and rotate the tongue nearly crushing him! As soon as I got back to town I purchased a set and I will not do without! The chocks are easy to position and with the included
ratcheting wrench, install quickly. They also helps keep the front to back rocking down! I upgraded my RV and had to
leave my original X-Chocks for a set of Extended X-Chocks for my Keystone RV. Still, these are the best and safest
wheel chocks out there! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE!
We have a new 5th wheel and needed something better than the plastic chocks to set the wheels. Purchased a X-Chock for a trial. ...This chock holds both wheels in place. It is easy to place, and the wrench is a ratchet that flips for direction. Once the wheels are
locked, you CANNOT move the trailer. After my initial run, I decided to purchase a second for the other side.
Used our X Chocks for the first time recently with our 30' enclosed motorcycle trailer while in the mountains in NC. No level park...ing was available and they worked extremely easy and securely held the trailer in place!
We love the X-chocks. Helps to stabilize. Only negative is that
the small cotter pin at the top will rust and fall off, making...
adjustment of the chock impossible. Make sure you carry extra
cotter pins to fit. Otherwise I would have given this 5 stars.

So far we've only used a new pair of X-Chocks on our 'wide stance' Crossroads 'Sunset Trails' camper while it sat in our driveway,... but can immediately feel the difference as compared to using old fashioned wheel chocks. The sway and bounce caused when moving about inside the trailer is greatly reduced! However, because our trailer has
wide stance, the gap between the tires is approximately fifteen inches.
I bought these as they looked to be relatively easy to install and liked the locking feature. I have used them twice. They work ...great if the parking place is relatively level. When the parking place is not level and the jacks for the trailer have to pick up one end or the other the chocks loosen up from the wheels, due to the suspension moving and the chocks moving away from the wheels. Don't see much that could be done about that. Any chock system would do the same thing. It does make it a concern when you are breaking camp and retract the jacks as the chocks are away from the wheels unless you
readjust them and if you do it is possible the chocks could dig into the tires in a way that could damage the tires. Overall on level ground they are hard to beat for installation and locking the tires in place.
I recently purchased a pair of X chocks from Camping World. I received the order in a very short time and much cheaper than I coul...d have bought them at a Canadian RV outlet.I have used the X chocks on several outings and have noticed a big difference, the
trailer does not rock fore and aft as it has in the past. I recommend this product to stop unwanted movement when parked..
Excellent product. It's fully assembled and ready to go. Easy to understand and put into use. You actually don't need instructions... with this product. It performs exactly as advertised. It even has a slot to secure a padlock (not included) if you desire. It sure beats dealing with the plastic wedge chocks and having your wife kick them in while you pull back and forth. Wives--get one for your hubby. Hubbys--get one for your wife.
Actualy my husband thought they worked well. He was rathered pleased with then. I on the other hand found that they DID keep the t...railer from rocking back and forth although they did rock a bit side to side. it is nice when my husband walks across the floor early in the morn. [for he is a heavy walker] that it dosen't wake me up any more. it was well worth the money. i found that buying two chocks in the single packet was cheaper then buying the one set packet. check out the price[s] to make sure. an besides this way we have to handles in case one gets lost or left behind we always have another to fall back on with in the storage drawer.
My wife was tired of the movement in our Cougar Camp Trailer if she was trying to sleep. I bought a pair of these X-chock
Locking... Chocks and they have done the trick. They are worth the money and they work.
i was really bummed when my travel trailer tires where closer then 2.5 inches so the old ones didnt work, so was happy to get thes...e. there is a huge difference know my trailer is rock solid don't feel every step at night.
Very happy with this product. They work very well, and have great holding power. They do not totally eliminate movement in the tra...iler, but it is greatly reduced. I would definitely recommend these to anyone.
Great product, After almost losing my trailer on a steep MX Track parking lot, I bought these. I had the trailer on 8 inches of bl...ocks last weekend. Cranked these things down and my trailer NEVER moved.
I bought these back in oct last year and have used them about 6 times, they work great as far as stabilizing the trailer. Put them... inbetween the tires and rachet them out and you are done, very easy. I would highly recommend these to anyone.
I just purchased a set of these and tried them out in undeveloped areas that required blocking of the wheels. They not only stoppe...d any movement of the wheels but allowed me to leave the 4-heavy chocks at home that I usually am required to haul around. They
are very sturdy and I would recommend them.
Do NOT use X-Chock as your only chock. We almost had our
trailer roll into a creek because I thought the X-Chock
would prevent i...t from moving. I had put the X-Chock in
place and then unhooked from the truck. When the trailer
dropped loose from the ball it moved about 1 1/2 feet
towards the 8 ft embankment down to the creek. A really
scary moment! Luckily the foot of the jack dug in and
stopped it. The X-Chock works very well for stopping
movement after setting up but does NOT take the place of
regular wheel chocks. I have since modified the X-Chock
slightly. I applied some adhesive backed non-skid material
to the faces of the X-Chock so hopefully the wheels will be
more securely locked.
We used these for the first time this past weekend at the NASCAR Race in Richmond.
They performed exceptional. No worries about ...disconnecting my travel trailer
anymore. Make sure you take the time to size them first and be near you're tool set.
You'll need a good wrench to adjust the size. But once that is done, you dont have to
size them again. I could definately tell a difference when getting in and out of my
Excellent product! Does just what it says it will do! I'm glad I purchased this type of choke instead of one you place in front of... the tire. I would recommend this to anyone of my friends. Rated it a 4 only because I always believe there is room for improvement.
I bought two of these for our new T.T. when we upgraded from a pop-up. I read all of the reviews & it seemed like this was the bes...t choice. I was not disappointed. They are the easiest things to use & make the camper very stable. Another quality product.
The x-choke is easy to use. The trailer moves less because of the x-chock. You don't
have to get down on your knees to install t...hem like you do when your installing the
chock that lay on the ground.
Short story. While boondock camping with a buddy, his 30' tow behind was up on 4
Lynx levelers and none on the low side. He di...sconnected from the tow vehicle and the camper rotated off the blocks nearly crushing him between the camper tongue and the truck. After observing this, we purchased these chocks as it appeared they would allow the wheels to be elevated, yet locked in position. They work awesome! If you Boondock camp or even camp where you experience un level surfaces, you can't go wrong, both in safety and taking the front and back rocking motion out! Don't forget to
remove them before moving the trailer, you will damage the chocks. They also don't sit on the ground in the mud and dirt! I just upgraded to a newer Keystone Bullet and had to purchase the X-tended X-Chocks due to the 16 spacing between tires. I'll let ya know how those work out. I'm expecting the same performance from the Bal product.
I love these chocks, they are easy to use and quick. They remove quickly and quietly and are very easy to stow. I just finished a ...long trip and found them easy to use for
overnight parking or longer term. They give stability where the terrain is not level and a problem, keep the coach steady.
The X-Chocks are very sturdy and high quality. They should last a long time. They
stabilize my trailer much better than wedge sh...ocks especially when the trailer is on loose
gravel or soil or when the wheels are on blocks.
I have tried two other sets of chocks and neither stopped the back and forth swaying motion in my 28 ft. travel trailer. I bought ...a set of X-Chocks and used them for the first time Memorial Day weekend. The swaying problem was completely eliminated. I highly recommend the
As previous reviewer noted they don't completely elimante
movement , but what an improvement. I only bought one set to try and ...
it works great. I am definitely going to get another set for the other
After spending last summer constantly adjusting my old individual tire chocks, these were a godsend. Place them, tighten them down... and forget them. Travel trailer is solid as a rock. Definitely recommend these.
My husband told me to buy just one chock. I thought he was bonkers. We camp at rv parks and there's really not too much along the ...lines of instability and un-even ground but, he put it on and it
eliminated the bounce that you feel when someone is at one end of the trailer and you're at the other. (Like when I'm trying to sleep and he's walking around). It makes a HUGE difference.
I have a R-Vision Trail Sport 25S which is an ultra lite, so it moves around
pretty good when someone walks around even with sta...ndard wheel
chocks in place. I purchased 2 of these and they make all the difference
in the world, the trailer is rock solid. Excellent product!
A friend of mine had one and thought that it reduced the shaking of his fifth wheel by
what he thought was 80%.
I bought one ...for my travel trailer and now the only time I notice my trailer shaking when I
walk is when I step onto the outside stairs.
I purchased one X-Chock after almost loosing our 26 foot travel trailer due to the yellow chocks coming out of place. I might add..., they were purchased against my husbands wishes. He is now a fan and it is the first thing in place when we arrive in a campsite and the last thing removed before we leave. I had not thought of getting two and have
only used the one on the side that we have to raise. After reading the reviews, I plan to purchase a second X-Chock. We plan to start traveling more in the next two years and know that not all campsites are even close to lever.
My brother bought a set of the original Deluxe Tire Locking Chocks from Camping World. I was impressed with them and also disappoi...nted at the same time. They worked as advertised on his travel trailer but wouldn’t compress enough to fit between the tandems on my fifth wheel. I was very happy when I found that the new X-Chock Tire Locking Chocks would fit between the tandems on my camper. They work great. Thanks both Camping World and BAL!!!
We pull our 5th wheel with a class 8 tractor so the fifth wheel is quite
a bit stronger then what would be normal for a rv. I ne...eded to be able
to really lock up the wheels on our trailer and the elec brakes did not
do it.The X chock on both sides let me hook up and unhook with no
problems at all. As well as stop most of the movement while camping
they are just great.
I have used Rocks. boards, the orange wheel chocks, and what ever to keep a trailer in place. Even with the BAL legs down on the ...corners of the trailer, it still rocks a bit when poeple walk in the trailer. These are BRAKES. when placed between the tires (easy to do) they
A: stop the trailer from rolling on unlevel ground,
B: can be locked as a safety device
C: they stabilize the trailer from rocking- rubber tires wiggle without them.
Buy them in singles. you get a tool in each that way.
I got a pair of these and they work great. Each one comes
with a 3/4" wrench and they apply very quickly and securely.
Engagin...g this device takes about 15 seconds and then your
camper can not roll. When you are ready to remove them,
just back off the nut just enough to pull it out and it is
even quicker to put on the next time. You do still have to
get down on the ground to install it, but you don't have to
worry about mud and dirt that pack into the other kinds of
chocks. I think that they are great and I highly recommend
Bought a set, (2) of these. Made our 24 foot trailer really stable, even during high winds. I use one of them when I have the ca...mper stored at a remote sight to help secure it. Easy to put a padlock onto it. I would recommend buying 2, for the extra stability. Well worth the money.
these chocks are super. Really stopped the jiggle we would
get walking around in our 5th wheel. Gives a good secure
feeling to o...ur campouts. Well worth everyone's investment -
safety as well as comfort.
After two camping trips I decided I needed something to stabilize our camper further. I bought two of these and WOW, what a differ...ence. Eliminated most of the rocking from our 24' travel trailer compared to regular wheel chocks. Easy to setup. Good construction. I'm glad I bought these sooner
Purchased two of these and using it on our Surveyor SV210T which is ultralite, and can't believe how quick and easy they were to i...nstall/remove. As others have said it pretty much knocked out about
90% of the remaining wobble left with just the stabilizers and regular chocks. Easy to store, easy to use, clean, and highly effective...pretty much all you can ask for from anything you purchase.
I have a 30 foot travel trailer that always rocked back and forth when someone is
walking around in it. Regular wheel chocks wer...e not working. I bought 1 set of the X-
Chock and it stopped it completely. WOW!
I have a sensitive back and the x-chock is a life saver. It virturally stops allmost all
rocking motion of the trailer. I sugge...st buying the 2-pack because after buying one I found 2 worked even better.
Bought just one for the low side, love it, works great, will be buying another one
because it's so much better than chocks. Seem...s to help a bit with camper movement
when parked. Would defenitely recommend these, you will love them!
Easy to use, my second one purchased (one for each side), seems to help with the slight movement you get while walking inside of t...railer, my wife feels the same. she even likes how easy they are to install or remove.
I had purchased two X-chocks for my Puma 30kfbds expecting a modest improvement in bounce and shimmy. I installed them while in m...y driveway only using the tongue jack, none of my four stabilizers mind you, and all movement was almost completely eliminated!!! I was amazed!! These were probably the best accessory I have purchased for my camper. Definitely recommend!!!
I bought two of these and they work great. Easy on and Easy off... and Your camper will not move when these are in place. But it i...s helpful to know that even when you get ready to connect to your hitch that you will need to loosen or remove the x-chock to give your camper some movment in order to get it on your trailer hitch. Like I said when they are in place there is no movement of the tires. When I'm not camping I use one to secure my 30 ft. pontoon boat because I have to park it on a slight incline. You will not be disappointed.
Purchased as a two pack. Exceptionally easy to install and each chock includes the ratchetting wrench to tighten and remove the c...hocks. They are lightweight enough for my 5' tall wife to install 'em!
Our RV has a flex suspension system so the reduction of RV movement that I'd read about in other reviews was a bit less than I'd hoped but still a notable reduction.A fine product that reduces movement in your RV and add security and stability, particularly in sites with excessive slope or gravel pads.
They work great, do not have to worry about the trailer moving off blocks. They do stop the trailer movement when someone is movi...ng around in the trailer. Quick and easy to install and remove, the included wrench works great.
This product was recommended to us by a friend. We decided to try it and are very happy that we did. It eliminates that slight r...oll back you get when you detach your camper from your vehicle. This roll back always worried us because it would put undue pressure on the jack stand. We no longer have that worry. This chock keeps the camper where we put it. This product was recommended to us, and we would definitely
recommended it to someone else.
Wedge chocks have been working okay for me, but with my new 30' rig I was having
problems with front-to-back motion. I heard abo...ut X-Chocks from a friend and decided
to try them. They worked perfectly! No more front-to-back motion, and I actually feel that
they are a safer, more positive chocking solution than the wedges. Easy-in, easy-out
too. No more kicking the chocks out.
By the way, don't cheap out and buy the crappy plastic version of this design. This is the
real deal. Just remember, you paid how much for your trailer? And you might save how
much buying a cheaper version? Yeah, thought that's what you'd say. Safe travels
This worked real well when we had to use blocks to level the
trailer. Standard wheel chocks were not practical so these
saved th...e day. They worked when the wheels were up off the
parking surface and held the tandem wheels in place on the
2 pair of blocks which were higher than the chocks.
I have used all types of things to Chock my tires. From wooden blocks to plastic
Chocks. This is the best Chocking system I have... ever seen. Easy to use and my wife
likes it as well, she can Chock the trailer with no trouble at all.
Read the prior reviews about these chocks prior to purchasing them... they are all correct.
Without them, the trailer shook very... bad. Once they were installed the trailer was very steady
and reduced the shake by a great deal.
These chocks are a great design that works very well. Easy to install, effective in
reducing rocking and increasing security fro...m rolling. I am new to RV'ing -bought one -
and quickly bought a second. They made my experience much more enjoyable. I
highly recommend these devices.
Just used this for the first time after purchase, was impressed with how easy it was to
use, once you use it on your trailer you... can keep it almost adjusted so it only takes a
couple of turns to set, or unset. Also liked that it came with a ratcheting wrench!
The chocks work very well for me. I have used them twice and they have added stability in
our trailer. I have short wheel skirts... over my wheels and it made it very difficult to install
and tighten them. All I had to do was turn them upside down and then I could tighten them.
from the bottom. I am very happy with how they work.
Works well. I had originally purchased one and it worked great but I had read that these will help stabilize trailer bought anothe...r one and it works great. Great stabilization on 29 foot travel trailer.
Bought these from seeing a fellow RV'er use them and then reading the reviews. These work great! The first time we used them we no...ticed a huge difference of no movement of the trailer when we climbed in and walked around. If you don't have them get them, you won't regret it! Just a note, you will still need to pack along a set of traditional chocks just to use for added measure when you are on an incline.
The smallest "X" style chock we carry is manufactured by Ultra-Fab, SKU#85162. This unit can collapse to 1" as opposed to 1-3/8" like SKU#43891 by BAL. If SKU#85162 will not fit in the smallest space between the tires, you may need to resort to models that are laid on the ground such as SKU#71264 or #5623.

Is it okay to just install one on one side of the trailer?
There is no issue with the durability of the X-Chock or the condition of the tires leaving them in. What they might experience is the natural dulling of the zinc color from prolonged exposure to the elements. Spraying them with WD-40 will keep them fresh but could attract dirt/dust.
